    • In a graphic processing system, there are provided a main memory, a buffer containing a bit map memory for holding display data, a central processing unit for performing a data process involving a translation from a virtual address into a physical address so as to access the main memory, a graphic processor connected to the main memory and buffer, for processing data into a display form, and a system bus interface connected to the central processing unit, main memory and graphic processor, capable of exchanging the data among them. Furthermore, the graphic processing system includes a drawing processing unit connected to the system bus interface, for translating the virtual address into the physical address so as to access the main memory and to process the data, a bus arbitrator for performing arbitration between demands for using the interface given from the central processing unit and graphic processor, and a suspend circuit for asserting a signal requesting that the interface is released to the central processing unit.

    • A graphic processor which controls reading, writing and transfer of graphic data for a display memory that stores graphic data. The processor includes a first unit which stores first address information for addressing the display memory and first pixel address information which points a pixel position in a word specified by the first address information, a second unit which stores second address information for addressing the display memory and second pixel address information which points a pixel position in a word specified by the second address information, a third unit which shifts graphic data of multiple pixels included in two consecutive words to extract continuous 1-word graphic data, and a fourth unit which implements drawing computations pixel-wise concurrently for one word depending on the number of pixels included in a word. Even if transfer source graphic data lies across two consecutive words, the processor fetches the source data in a single reading, processes the data word-wise at once, and stores the result in the display memory.

    • A polycyano aryl ether which has recurring units each represented by the formula: ##STR1## and a reduced viscosity of which is 0.3 dl/g or more at 60.degree. Further, the method of this invention can prepare the high molecular weight polycyanoaryl ether with ease and with high productivity when compared with a conventional method. Moreover, if the method for preparing the polycyanoaryl ether powder of this invention is applied, a mechanical process for grinding the resulting polymer will be unnecessary, the powder prepared by this invention is finer than the conventionally pulverized powder and the subsequent purification process is carried out to a sufficient degree.

    • A computer system includes a plurality of processors, a shared resource being used by the processors, and a storage unit in which management information corresponding to the shared resource is stored. The management information includes a semaphore for each OS managing a task which runs on the processors, a queue in which information for specifying a processor which has requested acquisition of the shared resource is stored in series, and a resource counter indicating a remaining number of the shared resources which can be acquired. Each of the processors includes a counter obtaining section that obtains a value of the resource counter, an acquisition decision-making section that makes a decision as to whether or not the shared resource can be acquired, and a resource acquiring section that stores information for specifying the processor in the queue if decided that it can not be acquired.
