摘要： The present invention features a remote viewing device that is capable of improving its operation by removing slack in its control cables and/or by increasing the range of motion of its viewing head. In one embodiment, the method for improving the operation involves removing at least a portion of the slack in at least one control cable attached to a servo motor. The removal of at least a portion of the slack includes changing the position of a servo motor relative to a flexible tube termination block until a specified tension is encountered in at least one of the control cables. The method further includes determining first and second servo control signal values corresponding to no angular deflection and a specified deflection in a viewing head.

摘要： An imaging assembly includes a miniature electronic image sensor including an imaging substrate having a plurality of pixels and a microlens array aligned with corresponding pixels on said imaging substrate and focusing optics for focusing an optical image of a target onto the imaging substrate including at least one adaptive lens element. The focusing optics have a first exit pupil distance defining a first field of view and the miniature electronic image sensor has a second exit pupil distance defining a second field of view which is different than the first exit pupil distance. The adaptive lens element directs light onto said imaging substrate through said microlens array while maintaining the first field of view.

The surface of the counterbalance section may be provided with a series of parallel depressions that aid in cutting or trimming the counterbalance section to achieve a balance of the pointer about the axle or shaft. A method of making such a pointer is also disclosed.

摘要： A laryngeal blade assembly includes a light pipe assembly attached to a blade having a light pipe disposed along a major dimension of the blade. The light pipe assembly is releasably attached to the blade in a non-axial direction in relation to the major dimension, wherein said light pipe assembly can be released from the blade without the aid of tools. The light pipe assembly includes a supporting block for fixedly retaining the light pipe. The supporting block has a bore disposed in a non-axial direction to the major dimension of the blade. An annular engagement member is fitted within said undercut portion for engaging the bore to allow the release of the light pipe assembly when a predetermined holding force is exceeded.

摘要： A gage mechanism for a blood pressure measuring device or other similar apparatus includes a supported shaft member having one end in contact with an inflatable bellows. A pointer is attached at an opposite end of the shaft and a helically wound spring is attached to the shaft and a supporting structure. As the bellows inflates, the shaft is axially displaced and causes rotation due to the constraint of the helical ribbon spring, causing a corresponding angular deflection of the attached pointer relative to an indicating scale. The mechanism includes a first adjustment member for allowing the pointer to be preset to a zero or calibrated position, and a second adjustment mechanism that controls the amount of angular rotation of the shaft and pointer for a displacement of the bellows.
