SOLUTION: The intake system structure for the engine includes an air cleaner 200 for collecting foreign matter such as powder dust in the air sucked in from outside of a vehicle, an air cleaner hose 100 connected with a throttle body for adjusting feeding air volume to the engine, a first cool air duct 600 connected to an air intake port from outside of the vehicle, a resonator 700 provided at the first cool air duct 600, a second air cool duct 800 and a valve 900 provided between the second air cool duct 800 and the air cleaner 200. The valve 900 has a structure to use a closing side for an area where acceleration of the vehicle is small and to use an opening side for an area where acceleration of the vehicle is large.       SOLUTION: On the side of one end 12 of the rocker arm 1, a pivot member 11 is provided which is supported on a receiving member 2 provided on a cylinder head 4 in a relatively pivotal motion adaptable manner. On the side of the other end 13, another end is provided which engages with the front end of a valve shaft 31 forming a suction/exhaust valve 3 in a relatively sliding motion adaptable manner. A steel ball 25 is installed between an front end 111 of the pivot member 11 provided at one end 12 of the rocker arm and a receiving portion 21 of the receiving member 2 for rolling motion between the front end 111 and itself. A roller 15 in rolling contact with a cam 5 is rotatably mounted at an approximately central porion of the rocker arm 1.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tensioner capable of preferably following a large variation of a vibration mode and realizing a damping thereof by utilizing a fluid pressure by a fluid generally used. SOLUTION: The hydraulic tensioner utilizes a circulation resistance obtained when a viscous oil in a cylinder 3 receiving an insertion pressure flows in a gap of slide surfaces of the cylinder 3 and the plunger 4 when the plunger 4 is inserted into the cylinder 3 filled with the viscous oil. For example, a stepped part is axially provided on the slide surface of the inserted plunger 4 side. A distance of the gap can be varied by whether or not the stepped part is inserted into the cylinder 3 and the circulation resistance of the fluid is varied to change a damping force of the hydraulic tensioner. The hydraulic tensioner is applied to a belt of which a tension vibration mode is varied. A large damping force is generated when the vibration of the belt is large and a small damping force is generated when the vibration of the belt is small. Thereby, a stable action of the belt is obtained without making the tension excessively large.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve tone quality of an engine with a turbocharger by increasing the level of component of an explosion order in intake noise under acceleration of a vehicle. SOLUTION: One end of a pulsation-takeout duct 51 is connected to an intake manifold 11 (or an exhaust manifold 12) of the engine 1, and the other end thereof is connected to an air-cleaner hose 22 (intake pass) upstream of the turbocharger 4. A valve 52 and a vibration plate 53 are arranged in the pulsation-takeout duct 51. When the vehicle is in a steady driving mode, the valve 52 of the pulsation-takeout duct 51 is closed to keep silence. While on acceleration of the vehicle, the valve 52 is opened to develop vibration in the vibration plate 53 by the pressure pulsation (pulsation including a component of the explosion order) in the exhaust manifold 12.
