    • A system and method are disclosed for the grinding of industrial minerals to fine powders. The system includes a grinding chamber having a generally vertically oriented agitator that is rotated to stir the grinding media intermixed with a feedstock. As the agitator stirs the grinding media and feedstock, there is a retaining plate that is also located within the grinding chamber and positioned atop of the grinding media to prevent the expansion of the grinding media when it is being stirred. The retaining plate has one or more openings to allow the finely ground feedstock to pass upwardly therethrough but to prevent any grinding media from passing through the retaining plate. Introduction of the feedstock may be through one or more hollow support rods that locate the retaining plate in the desired location within the grinding chamber. The support rods are locked into position when the retaining plate is properly located.

    • A limited-bandwidth network electronic data communication system (100) includes an electronic data transmission system (200) and a network terminal (300) in communication with the electronic data transmission system over a communications network (112). The electronic data transmission system includes a data receiver, a data formatter (218) and a data transmitter. The electronic data terminal includes a data receiver, a data reformatter and a data transmitter. Using the data transmitter an operator of the electronic data terminal transmits a request for transmission of an electronic message from the electronic data transmission system to the electronic data terminal. Upon receipt of the transmission request, the data formatter of the electronic data transmission system formats the electronic message in accordance with a default filtration parameter associated with the electronic data terminal, and assembles the electronic message as part of an electronic data package. Alternately, the retransmission request may include at least one data filtration parameter defining a desired alternate resolution for the electronic message, in which case the data formatter of the electronic data transmission system formats the electronic message in accordance with the specified filtration parameter. When the formatting step is completed, the data transmitter of the electronic data transmission system transmits the electronic data package to the electronic data terminal. Upon receipt of the electronic data package, the data reformatter of the electronic data terminal extracts the electronic message from the data package for review by the operator of the electronic data terminal.

    • A shock absorbing interposer is positionable between a manually manipulatable handle and a faucet of a beverage dispenser for dispensing a beverage. The interposer includes a faucet adapter mechanism for interconnecting to a lever of the faucet and a handle adapter mechanism for interconnecting to the handle. A shock absorbing member is operatively connected to the faucet adapter mechanism and the handle adapter mechanism to dissipate excessive forces applied to the handle as the handle is moved between a first operative position and a second operative position in order to reduce the likelihood that such excessive forces will be exerted on the faucet and handle. A faucet assembly including a faucet, handle and shock absorbing interposer is also provided.
