    • The invention relates to compositions comprising mixtures of polypeptides having reverse transcriptase (RT) activity and to methods of producing, amplifying or sequencing nucleic acid molecules using these compositions or polypeptides, particularly at temperatures above about 55° C. The invention also relates to nucleic acid molecules produced by these methods, to vectors and host cells comprising these nucleic acid molecules, and use of such nucleic acid molecules to produce desired polypeptide. The invention also relates to methods for producing Avian Sarcoma-Leukosis Virus (ASLV) RT subunits, in particular, Avian Myeloblastosis Virus (AMV) RTs, to isolated nucleic acid molecules encoding ASLV RT subunits, and to ASLV RT subunits produced by these methods. The invention further relates to nucleic acid molecules encoding recombinant RT holoenzymes, particularly ASLV RTs, methods for producing these RTs and to RTs produced by these methods. The invention also relates to kits comprising the compositions, polypeptides, and ASLV RTs of the invention.

    • Methods and systems for providing user interfaces that include content selected based on when the user interface is being provided are disclosed. A temporal engine residing on a host computer system provides a user interface that includes content selected based on when the user interface is being provided. The computer system includes a data store having one or more predefined time periods, each of which is defined, at least in part, by a span of time or by a set of conditions being satisfied, and is associated with a predefined set of user interface elements. The temporal engine determines, for each predefined time period, whether the set of conditions that defines the time period is satisfied. If so, the temporal engine causes a user interface to be provided that is based on the set of user interface elements associated with the time period. The temporal engine continues running in the background on the host computer system and dynamically updates the user interface whenever one predefined time period ends and another begins.

    • An apparatus and method for controlling a motor/blower system to provide a constant fluid flow by iteratively loading revised stator frequency values and stator voltage values to a variable frequency drive. Target DC bus current values corresponding to constant fluid flow rates are predetermined and stored as a function of the desired fluid flow rate, the operating frequency, and system specific constants or calculated by the controller as a function thereof during system operation. Actual DC bus current is measured with a current sensor and compared with the target DC bus current. Operating frequency is estimated using a PI controller based on the difference between measured and target DC bus current values. Operating voltage values corresponding to operating frequencies and system specific constants are predetermined and stored in memory or calculated by the controller during system operation. An updated target DC bus current, operating frequency and operating voltage are determined upon each iteration. The updated operating frequency and operating voltage are loaded as control variables to the variable frequency drive upon each iteration.
