摘要： A method of manufacturing a galvanized steel sheet with high press formability, the sheet having an inorganic compound on a metallic galvanized-layer thereof. The method includes the step of effecting a galvanization on a steel sheet followed by an alloying treatment. The sheet of galvanized steel is immersed in a bath of an aqueous solution containing 0.1 wt % or more of borate of an alkali metal, and then taking the steel sheet out of the bath and effecting such control as to make the amount of deposition of the water-containing borate film on the steel sheet surface to range from 10 to 1,000 mg/m.sup.2, and then heating the steel sheet at a temperature ranging from 60.degree. to 400.degree. C. Thereafter, the steel sheet is cooled to a normal temperature.

摘要： A zinc or zinc-alloy plated steel sheet having an improved weldability and plating properties, as well as a method for making the same is provided. Even when the substrate steel sheet is the one which is difficult to deposit a zinc or zinc-alloy layer by conventional methods, such as an extra low carbon steel sheet, the present invention enables a reliable production of a galvanized steel sheet suffering from no plating failure of insufficient adhesion as well as a reliable production of a galvanized steel sheet suffering from no plating failure or streaking of the alloyed layer. The zinc or zinc-alloy plated steel sheet having improved weldability comprises an extra low carbon steel sheet, an iron-carbon plated layer or a carbon-rich layer generated by diffusion of the iron-carbon plated layer on at least one major surface of the extra low carbon steel sheet, and a zinc or zinc-alloy plated layer on the iron-carbon plated layer or the carbon-rich layer. The zinc or zinc-alloy plated steel sheet having improved weldability and/or plating properties is produced by depositing on the steel sheet an iron-carbon plated layer having a carbon content of from 0.01% by weight to 10% by weight to a coating weight of from 0.01 g/m.sup.2 to 10 g/m.sup.2, optionally annealing the iron-carbon plated steel sheet, and depositing a zinc or zinc-alloy plated layer, preferably by galvanizing or galvannealing, on the annealed steel sheet.

It includes a heat resistant felt for holding a releasing agent. A porous polymer membrane is disposed between the felt and the fixing roller. A heat resistant polymer film is thermally fused between the felt and the membrane to bond the membrane to the felt except that portion of the membrane which is brought into contact with the fixing roller. The felt is impregnated with releasing agent and that portion of the membrane without the film may be brought into contact with the fixing roller to allow the releasing agent to be applied to the fixing roller.

The release agent applicator is made of a porous polyethylene tetrafluoride tube, the pores of which are partially closed except in areas where the release agent is to ooze out onto the fixing roll. Those partially closed pores in the tube are partially closed by a flattening operation so that they cannot draw release agent thereinto by capillary action.
