As a result, the refrigerant condensed in the heat exchanger 2a flows to heat exchangers 2b, 2c and 2d therefrom, and evaporates through the absorption of heat from a bed 1. Then, the refrigerant returns to the compressor 21 via the four-way valve 22. Thus, when the operation section is actuated to open the first group of throttle valves 23a, 23b and 23c, and the second throttle valve 24a, and to close the second throttle valves 24b and 24c, for example, the refrigerant flows to the heat exchanger 2b installed at the head section of the bed 1, but not to the heat exchangers 2c and 2d at the body and leg sections to cool the head section.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator-freezer capable of improving refrigerating cycle efficiency by loading an ejector without decreasing volumes of cooling compartments, and reducing heat loss of the ejector.
      SOLUTION: This refrigerator-freezer comprises the ejector 11 sucking and mixing a suction fluid flowing out from an evaporator 1 by a drive fluid flowing at a high speed by reducing a pressure of a refrigerant condensed by a condenser, and then expanding the fluid to allow the fluid to flow out in a low pressure state, and a housing 2 constituted by holding a heat insulating material 4 between an outer wall 5 and an inner wall 6, and surrounding the inside of a storage 7 receiving the cooling compartments 1a-1e, the evaporator 12 and a delivering means 19. The ejector 11 is housed between the outer wall 5 and the inner wall 6 in the housing 2.
