摘要： An elastic or flexible element for use in a stabilization device for bones or vertebrae is provided. The elastic or flexible element is provided in the form of an essentially cylindrical body with a first end and a second end opposite thereto, wherein at least one of the opposite ends of the cylindrical body comprises a coaxial bore hole with an internal thread for connecting to a shaft and/or a head of a bone screw or for connecting to a rod section. The present invention further provides a bone anchoring element, e.g. a bone screw, with a shaft for the anchoring in a bone, whereby the shaft comprises an elastic or flexible section which is formed integrally with the shaft or as a separate elastic or flexible element. It is preferable for the elastic section to be implemented in the form of a helical spring. Moreover, the present invention provides a stabilization device for bones, for instance for vertebrae, said device comprising at least one bone anchoring element according to the invention, a second bone anchoring element and a rod or plate connecting the bone anchoring elements.

摘要： Instruments for use with a bone anchoring assembly having plug member are disclosed that allow introduction of the plug member and bone cement or other liquid or pasty material into the bone anchor. The bone anchor includes a shaft having a first end and a second end, a channel extending from the first end to the second end, and a plug member which is insertable into the channel and guidable through the channel for closing the channel at the second end. The bone anchor is suitable for minimally invasive surgery in such a way a guide wire can be guided through the bone anchor and after the bone anchor has been anchored in the bone the plug member is inserted to close the open end of the bone anchor.

The recess extends from the first end in a direction of the second end forming two legs open at the first end. The recess defines a channel to receive the rod. The channel has a longitudinal axis. The legs have an inner thread to receive a securing element having an outer thread cooperating with the inner thread. The legs are provided with stiffening structures. In one embodiment, the stiffening structures are formed by the wall thickness of the outer edges of the legs being larger than the wall thickness of the legs at a location closest to the central axis of the receiving part.

The pressure element can assume a position relative to the receiving part where the pressure element and the preload element are in direct contact, and where the pressure element exerts a force onto the head via the preload element to maintain one of a plurality of releasable angular positions between the head and the receiving part by friction before locking the head.
