At the wire drawing stage, the force of Pcostheta of the rolling reduction force P is exerted vertically for the seaming face and a seaming part B becomes to be strongly joined extremely. As a result, even after completion of an expansion stage, the seaming part B is difficult to be opened by a springback force and the cored wire excellent in moisture absorption resistance is obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of weld defects by incorporating respectively specific weight % of Fe-Si, fluorite, etc., into a flux and controlling the content of diffusible hydrogen and content of total nitrogen in a weld metal according to the prescribed equation. CONSTITUTION:A cored wire is formed by filling a low melting point flux component consisting of 1-15% Fe-Si, 5-30% Fe-Mn and the balance iron powder into an inside housing chamber and a high melting point component flux contg. 15-50% fluorite, 5-40% CaCO3, 5-25% wollastonite, and 5-20% rutile, magnesia, and sodium silicofluoride, respectively into an outside housing chamber. Welding is executed by controlling the content of the diffusible hydrogen and content of the total nitrogen in the weld metal in such a manner as to satisfy equation I. The content of the N in the weld metal is decreased by controlling the component compsn. of the wire and the generation of blowholes in the weld metal is prevented by the adequate relation between the content of the diffusible hydrogen and the content of the total nitrogen.
