摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical rotor with a large short-circuit ratio, without increasing the cost. SOLUTION: In a dynamo-electric machine, a cylindrical rotor 1 has a d-axis in a central field direction and a q-axis in a direction extending from a magnetic pole to another pole. When a slot 2 and a slot 3 near to the d-axis are compared with a slot 4 and a slot 5, the slot widths of the slots 2 and 3 are not smaller than those of the slots 4 and 5, while the depths of the slots 2 and 3 are larger than those of the slots 4 and 5. As a result of this, the size of the dynamo-electric machine is made small, and a short-circuit ratio can be reduced, without increasing the manufacturing cost. Consequently, a variation in voltage can be reduced, and stability can be increased.

摘要： PURPOSE:To realize significant shortening of starting time by thermally balancing respective parts of the rotor of generator at the time of starting a thyristor. CONSTITUTION:The stator 2 of a turbine generator is provided with slots 3 for inserting a field winding, a wedge 4 for holding the field winding on the pole side of the rotor 2, and a wedge 5 on the interpole side of the rotor 2. At the time of starting a thyristor, the higher harmonic magnetomotive force causing temperature rise of the rotor 2 or torque ripple forms an elliptical rotating field having long diameter on the d-axis and short diameter on the q-axis. Since higher eddy current is induced on the q-axis of the rotor 2 than on the d-axis, the radial thickness d' of the wedge 5 on the interpole side of the rotor 2 is set thicker than that (d) of the wedge 4 on the pole side thus decreasing the resistance of the wedge 5.

A ventilating groove wedge 16 is inserted into the outer diameter side of said ventilating groove 17 to form a path for axially passing a cooling gas taken in from a rotor end part. Ventilating holes 18 are provided at the ventilating groove wedge 16 of the stator core warm gas zone part corresponding to axial sections D and B. Said cooling gas coming from a fan 6 passes the ventilating groove 17 from the rotor end part, is discharged from the ventilating holes 18 to air gaps 15, cools the stators of said warm gas zones D and B, exchange heat by a cooler 9, and returns to the fan 6. Thus, it is possible to decrease the temperature rise of a stator coil 3.
