    • A recording-medium positioning device includes a gate, a roller pair, a roller-pair shift unit, a recording-medium detector, and a drive control device. The gate is disposed at an upstream side of a fixing device in a conveyance direction of a recording medium. The roller pair includes two roller members disposed at an upstream side of the gate. The roller-pair shift unit moves the roller pair in accordance with a first position of the recording medium in the conveyance direction to shift the recording medium in a width direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction. The recording-medium detector is disposed between the fixing device and the gate to detect a second position of the recording medium in the width direction. The drive control device moves the recording medium to a reference position by driving the roller-pair shift unit in accordance with the second position and cyclically shifts the reference position.

    • Provided is a control circuit for a thermostatic oven in an oven controlled crystal oscillator, which is capable of further improving stability of an oscillation frequency. A control circuit in which a thermistor whose resistance value changes according to a temperature outputs a signal according to the ambient temperature of the thermostatic oven inside the oscillator, an operational amplifier outputs a signal according to a difference between the output of the thermistor and a reference signal, a power transistor amplifies the output of the operational amplifier, and a heater generates heat based on a collector voltage of the power transistor, is provided with a temperature sensor circuit having a transistor with a base to which the output of the operational amplifier is input. The control circuit outputs a collector voltage of the transistor as an internal temperature signal which changes according to a temperature inside the oscillator.

    • A piezooscillator having a piezoelectric vibrator and an oscillation circuit in a space surrounded by a substrate and a cover, which has a smaller size and height, and further, which can be assembled easily and suppress power consumption, is provided. The piezooscillator includes a recessed portion formed on the surface of the substrate; a supporting member supporting the piezoelectric vibrator while the piezoelectric vibrator is in a state partially or entirely accommodated in the recessed portion and floating from the substrate; a heating element provided on the surface of the piezoelectric vibrator; a temperature sensitive element provided in the space; and a temperature control unit provided in the space and controlling power supply to said heating element based on an output of the temperature sensitive element, in which, it is possible to reduce capacity of the space accommodating the piezoelectric vibrator and the heating element by eliminating the need of an additional substrate provided above the substrate as in conventional piezoelectric vibrators, so that the size and height of the piezooscillator can be reduced, in which assembling is eased, and power consumption can be reduced on the back of suppressed heat release to the substrate.

    • A gas spring apparatus comprises an outer tube, a cylinder held in the outer tube, and a rod having a piston located in the cylinder. The rod is inserted into the cylinder through a sealing portion. The interior of the cylinder is divided in two, a first liquid chamber situated on the side of the sealing portion and a low-pressure gas chamber situated on the side remoter from the sealing portion, by the piston. A space between the inner surface of the outer tube and the outer surface of the cylinder is divided between a high-pressure gas chamber and a second liquid chamber by a metal bellows. A first liquid chamber and a second liquid chamber communicate with each other by liquid communicating portions. A gas is charged in the high-pressure gas chamber at a higher pressure than in the low-pressure gas chamber.
