    • The present invention relates to a library apparatus capable of enhancing the coupling accuracy and the positioning accuracy among a plurality of lockers to bring up the traveling accuracy and positional accuracy of an accessor within a passage penetrating the lockers so that the accessor can surely accomplish the insertion/extraction of a cartridge into/from a storage rack or a deck. For this purpose, a supporting member which holds a rail for guiding the accessor along a direction of coupling the plurality of lockers within the passage is installed in the coupling direction for each of the lockers, and a positioning groove in which a bar-like tool is fitted when positioning the adjacent lockers with respect to each other is made in an end portion of the supporting member in the coupling direction. This invention is applicable to a large-capacity external memory system storing a large number of cartridges such as magnetic tape cartridges and optical disk cartridges.

    • When a plurality of pages of image data are combined into one page of image data for transmission, the direct combination of the image data having different resolutions and the resulting recording of the image data on one record sheet while the image is partially expanded or reduced are prevented.     • A connector housing has a body portion and a hood portion. An insertion detecting member for terminal lugs is movable from provisional locking position to full locking position inside the hood portion. A resilient, terminal-lug locking piece extends in each terminal accommodating cavity in the housing body portion to form a displacement permitting space on a side opposite a side where a terminal lug is inserted. The insertion detecting member has a main frame, insertion detectors corresponding to the displacement permitting spaces, and a pair of manipulating portions at opposite sides of the main frame. When in provisional locking position the manipulating portions are exposed at opposite sides of the housing body portion, and when in full locking position the insertion detectors move into the displacement permitting spaces. The insertion detecting member is easily movable from provisional locking position to full locking position inside the housing hood portion.

    • An electrical connector is provided in which a male connector is fitted into a female connector in such a manner that terminals are prevented from being bent even if the male connector is mistakenly fitted so as to be slanted at an angle with respect to the female connector. The electrical connector includes a male connector for sliding insertion into a female connector. A locking arm is mounted on a upper wall of the male connector. A bending preventing member protrudes from an inner wall face of the female connector and extends forwardly toward an opening of the hood of the female connector. An escape portion is formed by recessing in a front end face of the locking arm of the male connector to allow the bending preventing member of the female connector to enter thereinto. In this way, the terminals of the female connector are prevented from being bent since the bending preventing member contacts the front end face of the male connector and is not inserted into the escape portion when the male connector is mistakenly fitted so as to be slanted at an angle with respect to the female connector.
