    • PURPOSE:To manufacture an injection molded form without any fin and an irregularity in weight thereof by a method wherein a microcomputer is utilized to control the molding by detecting a propagating pressure and the maximum expansion pressure in a cavity. CONSTITUTION:A time for finishing a filling, a time for hardening a gate, the propagating pressure that means a cavity pressure corresponding to an injection pressure, the maximum expansion pressure that means the maximum pressure due to expansion of the resin in the cavity 26, the maximum time of duration of the expansion pressure and a cycle time of the molding are set in the microcomputer 11, thereafter, the molding is begun by operating a hydraulic pump 8. The internal pressure of the cavity is detected by a pressure sensor 28 after the time for finishing the filling and when this pressure is higher than the propagation pressure, a servo valve 14 is operated to increase a cylinder pressure and the both pressures are equalized. The maximum expansion pressure in the cavity, at the time when the gate hardening time is elapsed and the expansion pressure has become maximum, is compared with the set value and if the difference thereof is within an allowable range, the molded article itself is assumed to be a finished article and the molding work is finished when the time of molding cycle is over.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent changes in dimensions and damage caused to a shaped material when detaching it from a metal mold and effectuate high quality and yield rate by incorporating an air ejector chip in the metal sleeve of a metal mold. CONSTITUTION:An air ejector chip 3 is incorporated with a metal mold heretofore in use in a position where a projected pin passes through the mold. The upper surface of the chip is leveled with that of the cavity surface 13a of a lower mold 8A, while its lower surface is opened to an air passageway 9 made in the mold 8A, so that the chip pierces the lower mold. If pressurized air is sent through the passageway 9 from the outside, it reaches the interface between a shaped material 7 and a cavity 13 (that is, the cavity surface 13a) via the air-circulating passageway 4 of the air ejector chip 3. The air pressure is used to detach the shaped material 7 from the cavity surface 13a. Since the pressurized air is applied to the whole surface of the shaped material 7 touching the cavity, the external force is reduced. Thus, changes in dimensions and shape do not occur because excessive stress is not added to the shaped material 7.
