摘要： PURPOSE:To enlarge the use range of a digital VTR by time-division multiple recording a digital signal, which is time division multiplexed into N times while compressing the time base to be 1/K-fold, while maintaining time, base compressed velocity after selection, and setting both cylinder rotating speed and tape velocity to be N/K-fold in the case of reproduction. CONSTITUTION:For a time division multiple video signal inputted from a signal input terminal 1, a recorded signal is selected by a recorded signal selection circuit 3. The recorded signal selection circuit 3 generates a velocity control signal and outputs it to a recorded signal processing circuit 4 and a servo circuit 8 based on the number of times for multiplexing the input time division multiple video signal, the transmission speed and the number of times for selective recording due to the recording select signal. In the case of reproduction, the velocity control signal is generated by detecting the number of times for multiplexing the recorded signal according to an ID signal contained in a regenerative signal, and this velocity control signal is transmitted to the servo circuit 8. Thus, regardless of the number of times for selectively multiplexing the recorded signal, all the recorded signal can be traced so that recording track patterns can be equal.
