Moreover, even if the vibrating elastic body 1, the rotor 6, and the rotating output member 7 are different in diameter, that will do, in this case, it will do to make the holding member in the same diameter as the one of the largest diameter among these parts or in the diameter more than it.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the vibrating elastic member of a supersonic motor and the output member from being rotated relatively during the reverse rotation from the side of a driven part by setting the frictional force between a rotating member and a rotation output member smaller than the frictional force between a vibrator and the rotating member. CONSTITUTION:A rotating member (rotor) 6 gets proper frictional force by the pressure with a pressurizing spring 10, with the friction contact part 6 an abutting on the taper part 1a of a vibrating elastic body 1. A rotation output member 7, which has a gear 7a, couples with the rotor 6 by friction between the end cover and the end face of the rotor. The frictional force of friction coupling between the rotor 6 and the rotating output member 7 is generated by the pressurizing spring 10, and the force is set to be smaller than the frictional force between the vibrating elastic body 1 and the rotor 6. Hereby, when the member to be driven is rotated by external force, only the rotating output member 7 rotates to the rotor 6, and the rotor 6 is kept in the nonrotating condition to the vibrator.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain high-definition outputs having a satisfactory gradation and a high resolving power by modulating the frequency of control pulses corresponding to image signals and gradation level. CONSTITUTION:Pulses are prevented from being output from a PFM modulator 104 at a level of input data PHI1H of a D/A converter 102, and the width of pulses, which are output from the PFM modulator 104 at a level higher than the input data PHI1H, is previously set so that the pulse width becomes a minimum pulse value at which a laser 113 begins to emit light. The PFM modulator 104 is previously set so that it outputs pulses having a pulse frequency at which the laser 113 lights full at a level of input data FFH of the D/A converter 102. Thereby, the dot density on a recording medium can be changed corresponding to input data 101 having 256 gradations and a regenerated image excellent in gradation can be obtained.
