    • PURPOSE: A two-sided polarizing plate is provided to form adhesive layers simultaneously on both sides of a polarizer through one active energy ray irradiation process by forming the adhesive layer on an active energy ray non-irradiation surface with 0.1-3μm in thickness, whereby the manufacturing is simplified, the adhesive force between the polarizer and a transparent film is excellent, and the heat resistance is outstanding with excellent optical properties maintained under severe environment. CONSTITUTION: A two-sided polarizing plate comprises a first adhesive layer formed on one side of a polarizer, a second adhesive layer formed on the other side of a polarizer, a first transparent film formed on the first adhesive layer and a second transparent film formed on the second adhesive layer. The first and second adhesive layers are formed by an active energy ray hardening the adhesive. The two-sided polarizing plate is provided with the first adhesive layer which is 0.1-3μm in thickness.

    • A method for producing a polyvinyl alcohol film is provided to obtain a polyvinyl alcohol film having excellent surface uniformity by preventing formation of spots on the surface and realizing excellent dyeing capability and orientability, and to obtain a polarizer film having excellent polarizing characteristics over a large area. A method for producing a polyvinyl alcohol film comprises the steps of: (a) mixing polyvinyl alcohol, water, a plasticizer and a surfactant to provide an aqueous solution; (b) continuously casing the aqueous solution onto the surface of a casting drum(24) rotating at a desired speed and spaced apart from the ejection port of a T-die(21) by a predetermined distance, while sucking the steam discharged from the bottom surface of an ejected film(25) formed by the aqueous film right after the aqueous solution is ejected from the ejection port, by using a steam suction device(23) disposed in a region between the bottom surface of the ejected film opposite to the casting drum with an extension toward the ejection port and the surface of the casting drum; (c) drying the aqueous solution cast molded on the drum to provide a primary polyvinyl alcohol film; and (d) heat treating the primary film.

    • A method for preparing polyvinyl alcohol films is provided to produce polyvinyl alcohol film that has a uniform structure in a thickness direction and forms polarizer films having the high degree of polarization. A method for preparing polyvinyl alcohol films comprises the steps of: (a) dissolving a polyvinyl alcohol, a crosslinking agent, a plasticizer, and a surfactant in water to prepare an aqueous solution; and (b) subjecting the aqueous solution to solution casting, followed by performing drying and heat treatment to form polyvinyl alcohol film. The polyvinyl alcohol of the step (a) has the degree of saponification of 95mol% or more, and the average degree of polymerization of 2,000-7,000. The prepared film has a thickness of 30-100micron.
