    • This invention considers the problem with inflation of the units by hands, and introduces a dual action inflation unit to be used for measurement of the blood pressure cuff and similar units such as D. Devices. The prototype of this unit consists of an electrical/pedal pumps combined with a manual inflation units. This will allow the electrical/pedal pumps to be used first for inflation of most of the inflatable part and then the manual unit will be used for a lesser degree of inflation as well as the adjustment of the inflation units. This combination is to prevent straining of the hands. It will also allow quick and easy action. This unit also allows a trigger system to be used for controlling the pressure in the system to prevent from the discomfort of the rotational action; it also has safety valves to prevent the pressure from exceeding a predicted level.

    • This application deals with the problem of injection of a therapeutic or procedural fluids into a vascular system and particularly into the arteries. Commonly, these materials will be washed out quickly due to the rush of the blood in the lumen of the vessel and this prevents the best outcome to be achieved. To prevent this problem the applicant introduces a series of catheters and sheaths that allow a resistance mean or a barrier mean to be created in front of the flow of the blood in the lumen of the vessel. So that the speed of the flow of the blood in the vessel will decrease and this prevents from the quick washout of the injected materials from the injected space. In the prototype model this unit the resistance mean is an inflatable balloon that is located on the body of the catheter and the inflation of that balloon will cause the resistance to build up. In order to be able to chose the area of the resistance mean as well as the type of the catheter that can be used with these units a new series of sheaths with resistance means on them are introduced in this application that allows different catheters to be used with them. In another model the balloon will be placed around or next to the catheter and it will cause the resistance to build up. Furthermore this application introduces an injection catheter which has a thermistor in its body and it allows the flow of the fluid to be done in the arterial system. The barriers or the resistance unit of these catheters will prevent the therapeutic or procedural materials that are injected into the area to leave the injected space quickly. Also importantly, the resistance can be used to build a relatively higher pressure in the injected space in order to inject the medication into the closed vessel more forcefully.

    • A urinal has a collection device for placement proximate genitalia to receive urine from a person. Tubing from the collection device extends to a container. The container has an opening proximate the junction of its sidewall and its top wall via which urine may be poured out of the container when the container is tipped. A motor-powered suction device is mounted on the container for sucking urine through the tubing into the container. The entire suction device is mounted on the container proximate the junction of the top wall and the sidewall at a location that is opposite the location of the pour-out opening. The container has internal partitions, and a filter is disposed between the container headspace and the suction device.

    • A humidifier is constructed from basic units that have a rigid part supporting a hydrophilic part. A lower portion of a basic unit is disposed in a water-filled canal, and the upper portion is exposed to air, especially heated air from a heater. One embodiment is adapted for placement over a floor outlet for heated air to evaporate water from the canal into the heated air to increase the humidity thereof. This embodiment may be above or just below floor level. Various forms of covers are associated with the units. The humidifier may take the form of an ornamental replica of a windmill having hydrophilic material on rotating blades that dip into a water reservoir, and having a fan inside that blows air onto such material.

    • An enclosure formed by a pan and a cover is divided into an upper steam chamber and a lower hot water chamber by a perforate partition. Steam rises through the perforate partition from the hot water chamber to the steam chamber. The cover has a nose aperture into which a user places the nose to inhale steam from the steam chamber. The steam chamber is selectively communicated to the surrounding space on its exterior to control the direction and the amount of airflow between the steam chamber and the exterior. The amount is controlled by a multi-apertured disk on the exterior and the direction by a slide on the interior which can select either bi-directional flow or uni-directional flow in the direction into the chamber.
