    • A method, an apparatus, a computer program product, and a data processing system provide for operation of a virtual machine with embedded functionality for interoperating with other virtual machines in a computational grid. A plurality of virtual machines are run on one or more devices within a data processing system; each virtual machine in the plurality of virtual machines incorporates functionality for interoperating and associating with other virtual machines in a virtual machine cluster in a grid-like manner. Each virtual machine in the virtual machine cluster acts as a node within the virtual machine cluster. A virtual machine manages its objects in association with an object group, and each virtual machine may manage multiple object groups. The virtual machines share information such that the object groups can be moved between virtual machines in the virtual machine cluster, thereby allowing the virtual machine cluster to act as one logical virtual machine.

The method determines an artifact which can be accessed by the developer and an artifact which cannot be accessed by the developer and is depended by the artifact which can be accessed by the developer based on a request of the developer, project assignment information and project artifact dependencies, and generates a logic artifact for the artifact which cannot be accessed by the developer and is depended by the artifact which can be accessed by the developer. The invention improves the security of the project development by generating the surrogate to make sure that every developer can not touch the whole content of the project, and the developer can freely invoke the depended artifacts.

    • Pervasive output capability is provided so that an information apparatus can pervasively output digital content to an output device regardless of the processing power, display screen size and memory space of the information apparatus. This allows small mobile devices with limited display, processing power, and memory to be able to output a digital document (e.g., PDF, HTML, PowerPoint etc) in its full original richness, without resorting to downsizing, truncating, reducing, clipping or otherwise altering the original document. A data output service method for rendering at an output device output content managed from an information apparatus may include obtaining by wireless communication from the information apparatus at least part of a document object relating to the output content, obtaining at least part of an output device object with one or more attributes relating to the output device, and providing the document object and the output device object to a server application operated on a server that is distinct from the information apparatus and the output device, and generating with the server application output data relating to the output device. The output data may then be provided to the output device for rendering the output content as the data output service.

    • Methods and devices (400, 500) for capturing at least one digital image (550) are described. In one implementation, transmission of input light is modulated (410) onto the same pixel elements of a digital image sensor (420), comprising pixel elements. Frames of an image are captured having different exposures (440A, 440B, 440C) from the modulated transmission of the input light using the digital image sensor (420). The different exposure frames of the image are processed to produce a high dynamic range digital image (450). In another implementation, a portion of the input light is transmitted onto the same pixel elements of respective digital image sensors (530, 532) to produce frames (560A, 560B) of an image (550) having different exposures. The different exposure frames (560A, 560B) of the image are processed (540) to produce a high dynamic range digital image (570).
