    • This invention effectively reduces the screeching (unpleasant sound) of a brake occurring when an automobile is braked. A rod is set up on the inner surface of a rim to which a brake lining is attached, and a weight is fixed to this rod via an elastic member. Since a weight is fixed to a brake shoe via an elastic member, the weight receives the vibration of the brake shoe and is vibrated. The vibration of the weight has a low frequency and a phase equal to that of the vibration of the brake shoe. However, as the vibration frequency of the brake shoe increases, the vibration phase of the weight deviates from that of the brake shoe. At a frequency in the vicinity of a certain level and not lower then the same, a phase difference becomes substantially 180°. If this frequency is set in agreement with that of a screeching sound of the brake, the vibration of the brake shoe can be suppressed by that of the weight. It is possible to reduce the screeching sound of a brake of a large-sized vehicle, in which the size of a brake shoe is large, to a practically sufficient level by merely adding an inexpensive part to the brake, and maintain the original performance of the brake even when the brake lining is replaced.

    • This invention relates to an alternator rotor and its manufacturing method, said rotor having a first rotor member (1) on which a plurality of teeth (11) have been formed, plus a second rotor member (2) arranged so that its teeth are positioned in the spaces in the cylindrical surface formed by the teeth of said first rotor member. A cylindrically-shaped magnetic material (20) is cut to match the shape of the teeth (11) and is separated into a first rotor member (1) and a second rotor member (2). A plurality of teeth (11) is formed on the first rotor member (1), and teeth are formed on the second rotor member (2) so that they are positioned in the spaces in the cylindrical surface formed by the teeth of the first rotor member. The two rotor members (1,2) are mechanically joined by laying each of two rings (8,9) across the tips of the teeth (11) of one rotor member and across the bases of the teeth of the other rotor member. Given this construction and method of manufacture, rotors can be manufactured in fewer manhours, electrical efficiency can be improved by increasing the number of poles, and the incidence of defective products is decreased, which means that manufacturing yield can be increased. In addition, because the fabrication of the teeth (11) can be automated and the welding can be performed easily from the outside, fabrication precision can be increased and quality stabilized.

    • An automated mechanical transmission system (10) includes an oil spray type hydraulic clutch (11), a mechanical transmission having a shift cylinder (13), shift valves (15, 16), a select cylinder (14) and select valves (17, 18, 19), a hydraulic system control circuit (20), a clutch oil spray circuit (25), and a clutch/transmission select valve (27).
      The clutch (11) includes a control cylinder (47) for sandwiching a clutch disk (45) between a pressure plate (46) and a clutch cover (44). The system control circuit (20) includes high and low pressure side hydraulic clutch control lines (21, 22) connected with the control cylinder (47), and a hydraulic transmission control line (23) connected with the shift cylinder (13) and select cylinder (14) through the shift valves (15, 16) and select valves (17, 18, 19). A pressure control valve (28) actuated by a pilot valve (29) is disposed at the low pressure side clutch control line (22) and adjusts oil pressure of the hydraulic circuit to actuate the clutch (11) to gear shift the transmission.
      A valve (26) controls the flow of oil sprayed to the clutch disk (45) according to each state of the clutch (11).
