    • A heat exchanger comprising an outer jacket (9) with an inner set of vertical pipe elements (1) fastened at their opposing ends in upper and lower sieve walls (2, 3), and having a gas combustion chamber (4) located above the upper sieve wall, as well as partitions (5, 6, 7) mounted crosswise of the pipe elements. The partitions have openings for the pipe elements. The heat exchanger is also provided with liquid, gas and exhaust fumes inlet and outlet stub pipes. The outer jacket is conically shape with its diameter increasing upwards. An upper sieve wall (2), as well as an upper partition (5) situated below the wall, are shaped as cones with their vertexes pointing down. The upper partition (5) has a central opening (8) in its central region and an outer diameter corresponding to a diameter of the outer jacket (9).

    • A heat exchanger includes a vertical pressure vessel having a air-tight structure, one and another sets of fluid inlet/outlet ports provided to upper and lower portion of the vertical pressure vessel, respectively, and a heat exchanging module disposed in the pressure vessel to a portion between both sets of the fluid inlet/outlet ports, the heat exchanging module being formed by stacking a number of heat exchanging elements. At least one set of the fluid inlet/outlet ports are configured to provide a header composed of a pipe structural member having a bottom portion closed and a heat insulating material attached to an inner surface of the pipe structural member, and end portions of fluid flowing pipes communicating with the heat exchanging module are opened at the closed fluid inlet/outlet ports in the header.

    • Heat exchange apparatus comprises a generally cylindrical tank having an inlet port for entry of gas and an outlet port for exit of the gas after it is cooled, and an annular bundle of tubes disposed within the tank. The tank includes a cylindrical side wall or shell which encloses the tube bundle, and upper and lower annular manifolds for controlling flow through the tube interiors. The tank inlet port is located centrally of the upper annular manifold, and the tank outlet port is located on the shell. The annular tube bundle has a generally cylindrical interior having a longitudinal axis parallel to that of the shell. The interior of the annular tube bundle is aligned with the inlet port so that the interior of the tube bundle functions as an inlet plenum for the gas entering the recuperator. The annular tube bundle is radially offset from the center of the tank so that an eccentric outlet plenum is provided between the tube bundle and the shell for flow of gas circumferentially and axially of the shell toward the outlet port.
