SOLUTION: The target driving/braking force Fvn that the vehicle needs to have and target yaw moment Mvn of the vehicle are calculated (S20). When one of the target driving/braking force Fvn and target yaw moment Mvn can not be achieved with the driving/braking force of the respective wheels (S40), corrected target driving/braking force Fvt and corrected target yaw moment Mvt are calculated (S105) as values which can be achieved with the driving/braking force of the respective wheels (S105). When the corrected target driving/braking force Fvt of the vehicle and the corrected target yaw moment Mvt of the vehicle exceed limit values Flim and Mlim, those values are limited to the limit values (S110 to S135). The controller (26) is coupled to the speed sensor (30), the lateral acceleration sensor (32), the roll rate sensor (34), the yaw rate sensor (28). The controller (26) determines a roll angle estimate in response to lateral acceleration, roll rate, vehicle speed, and yaw rate. The controller (26) changes a tire force vector using brake pressure distribution in response to the relative roll angle estimate.

This calculation is made based on the correlation between a slip angle β of the wheels and the lateral force Fy. Based on thus calculated cornering power ka and a target cornering power ka′ required for the wheels, a processing section determines a change amount for changing at least one action force out of the longitudinal force Fx, the lateral force Fy, and the vertical force Fz, all acting on the wheels.
