摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical access port.SOLUTION: There is provided a surgical access port for accessing a cavity of a patient having an outer frame including first and second frame portions, wherein at least one of the frame portions is movable with respect to the other frame portion. The outer frame has a first length greater than the first width, wherein movement of at least one of the frame portions away from the other frame portion increases the outer frame to a third length greater than the first length. An inner member has a second length and a second width, the second length being substantially transverse to the first length of the outer frame and the second width being substantially transverse to the first width of the outer frame. A flexible member extends between the outer frame and inner member and is movable by movement of at least one of the frame portions.

摘要： Systems and methods for preventing the seeding of cancerous cells during morcellation of a tissue specimen inside a patient's body and removal of the tissue specimen from inside the patient through a minimally-invasive body opening to outside the patient are provided. One system includes a cut-resistant tissue guard removably insertable into a containment bag. The tissue specimen is isolated and contained within the containment bag and the guard is configured to protect the containment bag and surrounding tissue from incidental contact with sharp instrumentation used during morcellation and extraction of the tissue specimen. The guard is adjustable for easy insertion and removal and configured to securely anchor to the body opening. Protection-focused and containment-based systems for tissue removal are provided that enable minimally invasive procedures to be performed safely and efficiently.
