摘要： A noise control device which produces behind it an enlarged sound reducing region is disclosed. The device comprises a hollow structural body composed of a plurality of elongate hollow passages which are different in length and constructed such that the passage length is made the longest at a substantially center part in a vertical direction and is made gradually shorter from the center part toward upper and lower edges of the hollow structural body. The upper and lower edges allow direct propagation sound emitted from a noise source to pass thereover and therethrough.

摘要： A floating cargo hose for transporting fluid from a vessel having an excellent abrasion resistance and a unique distinct color of colored urethane is manufactured by wrapping a hose body in which is embedded a fibrous sheet or a spiral wire in rubber with a sponge layer having closed cells, covering the sponge layer with a first rubber cover in which is embedded a fibrous sheet and vulcanizing the rubber, treating the first rubber cover to promote adhesion and coating the thus treated first rubber cover with a liquid urethane rubber and curing the liquid urethane rubber to form a second cover.

The endless belt conveyor extends between a pair of pulleys, one of which being located above water level and the other pulley being located beneath water level, and comprises (1) a pair of driving bands located at widthwise ends of the conveyor, (2) a plurality of connection plates fixed to the driving bands at a given interval, (3) a plurality of projections provided outwardly on the upper surface of each connection plate, (4) a plurality of sleeves provided on the lower surface of each connection plate, and (5) a plurality of flexible ropes passing through the sleeves and extending between the pulleys.

摘要： A foldable pneumatic tire including an annular tread and sidewalls each extending from both ends of the tread and terminating in bead portions, the sidewalls adapted to be folded axially inwardly toward each other to be collapsed within the tread. The foldable tire located in a mold for vulcanization comprises the bead portions each extending perpendicular to a rotating axis of the tire and having a height 1.2 to 2.0 times of that of a flange of a rim, and each the sidewall consisting of first and second sidewalls making an angle with each other between 140.degree. and 160.degree., and an outer surface of the second sidewall radially inwardly sloping at an angle of 0.degree. to 5.degree. to the rotating axis. The tire according to the invention is superior in foldability and can be attached to the rim with ease and is greatly useful for a spare tire for automobiles.

摘要： A radial tire for heavy load vehicles such as light trucks, trucks, busses, super-large type construction vehicles, etc. is disclosed. The radial tire comprises a carcass ply composed of a steel cord ply and wound around a bead core from the inside toward the outside thereof to form a turn-up portion. The upper end of the turn-up portion is upwardly extended to a position located between a point passing over the maximum width point of the carcass ply expanded by applying an internal pressure to the tire and a point where a normal drawn perpendicular from a hump to the carcass ply crosses with the carcass ply. The turn-up portion of the carcass ply is separated from the carcass ply by means of a soft rubber layer composed of rubber having a Shore A hardness which is smaller than a Shore A hardness of a coating rubber of the carcass ply and a 300% modulus of elasticity which is 50% to 85% of a 300% modulus of elasticity of the coating rubber of the carcass ply.
