A thrust needle bearing 82 is provided between the housing 80 and a flange 84 of the transmission shaft 56 to support axially the transmission shaft 56. thus, the radial and axial support of the transmission shaft 56 is shared respectively by roller bearings 74, 76 and the thrust needle bearing 82 so that the play of the transmission shaft 56 is removed to restrain the occurrence of noise.

Thus, when the engine is restarted, the oil pressure is supplied from the return oil pressure path more quickly than usual or the oil pressure boosted higher than usual is supplied by the pressure boosting means, and thus the engagement of the forward clutch of the automatic transmission is quickly performed.

SOLUTION: In this vehicle driving system, a motor generator 3, an engine 1 and auxiliaries are connected by pulley 9 and a belt 8.
