    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel exhausted fine particle control device provided with a heating means capable of effectively activating a catalytic converter arranged on the front stage by low electric power even in the operating condition of a diesel engine, in which the exhaust gas temperature is low and also a catalyst is not activated. SOLUTION: In a diesel exhausted fine particle control device, a plurality of band-shaped heaters 1a, 1b composed of heater heat generating layers having the specified width are provided next to the upstream side of a catalytic converter 2, and partial heating-type heaters so arranged that the distance between respective band-shaped heaters 1a, 1b may have the same width are provided. Therefore, when a filter 3 is regenerated in the operating condition in which the exhaust gas temperature is low and a catalyst 2 is not activated, the partial heating-type heaters electrically generate heat and partially activate the catalytic converter 2, and therefore, the catalytic converter 2 can be effectively activated by low electric power.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the excellent regeneration of a filter without needing a long time for regeneration and the increase of an amount of a feed power even on an operation condition that an exhaust gas temperature is especially low during idling. SOLUTION: A catalyst converter 2 is arranged upper stream of a flow of exhaust gas from a catalyst carrier filter 3 arranged in the middle of the exhaust gas flow passage of the internal combustion engine and collecting fine particles contained in exhaust gas. A partial heating heater 21 to electrically generate heat and partially activate the catalyst of a catalyst converter 2 is mounted on the catalyst converter 2. When the filter 3 is regenerated on an operation condition having an exhaust gas temperature lower than a catalyst activated temperature, the partial heating heater 21 is energized to partially activate a catalyst converter 2. Further, unburnt fuel is fed in an exhaust flow passage 1, situated upper stream from the catalyst converter, by a fuel injection valve 4 and oxidized by an activated catalyst. Since a fuel feed amount is controlled to a small amount enough to allow maintenance of an activating state by the activated catalyst until the active state of the catalyst is stabilized, a device temperature is not lowered and thereafter through the increase of a fuel feed amount, an activated region is enlarged to a whole.

    • PURPOSE:To regenerate the filter with a catalyst of an exhaust fine particle purifying device even if an internal combustion engine is operated in its condition of a low exhaust temperature such as a low load (a load torque). CONSTITUTION:Since the catalyst of a catalyst carrying filter 5 is activated when the exhaust temperature of an internal combustion engine 1 is high, and if unburnt fuel is supplied to the upstream side of a filter 5 by a fuel supply device 7, piled fine particles are easily ignited and burnt by reaction heat generated at the time of oxidization by a catalyst. Since the catalyst is not activated when the exhaust temperature is low, oxidative reaction is not caused even if fuel is supplied. As a result, the fine particles are discharged while keeping their condition, and not regenerated. A partial heater 4 provided on the upstream side of the catalyst carrying filter 5 is energized electrically, a part of the catalyst on the circumference and the downstream side thereof is heated and activated in an early stage, supplied unburnt fuel is oxidized, reaction heat is generated, the catalyst of the downstream side is heated by this heat, and the fine particles piled in a wide range are heated and burnt.

Further, this purifier is built up in such a manner that the period of time required for the filter recovery is calculated from filter temperature before starting the filter recovery by means of the recovery control means 8, and timing is made to match a recovery end so as to making switching control to valves 5A, 5B.

CONSTITUTION:A filter 1 consisting of a heat resistant material is installed in the exhaust pipe 90 of an engine 9 and the adjacent upper/lower end parts among plural through holes 11 partitioned by porous partition walls 12 are closed alternately. A heater 2 is installed in at least down stream side end part of the filter 1. Further, a pressure difference meter 3 for detecting the particulate collection amount of the filter 1 based on the pressure difference between the front/rear parts of the filter 1 is installed in the exhaust pipe 90. The heater 2 is controlled by an electrification control part 4. Meantime, the entire filter 1 is regenerated by the electrification control part 4 when the particulate collection amount reaches a prescribed amount, and also only the heater 2 in the down stream side end part is electrified and only the down stream side end part of the filter 1 is regenerated at this intermediate point of time.

The exhaust gas purifier is provided with a control means to control the timing to energize the heaters 2A and 2B, and in ordinary filter refreshing, only the heater 2A or both heaters 2A and 2B are energized by this control means. In filter refreshing with particulates excessively collected, firstly the heater 2B is energized and then the heater 2A is energized after energizing the heater 2B.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a purifying device for exhaust gas equipped with such a filter for purifying exhaust gas that the cinders of fine particles are nearly not generated even when recovering treatment is repeated many times. CONSTITUTION:The purifying device for fine particles in exhaust gas is equipped with both a porous heat resistant filter 20 which is provided on the exhaust pipe 2 of an engine and filters exhaust gas to collect fine particles incorporated therein and a heating means 21 which burns the fine particles collected and accumulated in the inside of the filter 20 to remove them. The filter 20 is constituted so that the part with 15-25mm toward the inside from the outer peripheral wall thereof becomes the peripheral part and the part of the inside from it becomes the central part. By the structure of the filter 20, the accumulated quantity of fine particles per unit volume of the filter 20 in the respective parts is set so that the ratio of the accumulated quantity in the central part to the peripheral part is regulated to 1:(1.5-2.5). While the combustion temperature in the central part is suppressed and the thermal damage of the filter 20 is prevented, heating value in the peripheral part is increased by combustion of large quantity of fine particles. Thereby the combustion temperature of fine particles is highly maintained.
