    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lock and return functions in addition to a damping function by installing an opening and closing valve in an oil passage communicating oil chambers in front and in rear of a piston, and a main opening and closing valve in a main oil passage for supplying and discharging oil pressure to the oil chambers. SOLUTION: With an opening and closing valve for an oil passage 6 of a piston 2 fully opened, and main opening and closing valves 12 of main oil passages 10, 11 totally closed, the damping force of a base isolation layer at the time of an earthquake or a gale is increased by damping action caused by throttle action of the oil path 6. With the opening and closing valve totally closed, and the main opening and closing valve fully opened, the driving force of a product of oil pressure supplied to the oil chamber 4 or 5 and the pressure receiving area of the piston 2 is generated in a piston rod 17, thereby forcibly restoring a structure which causes residual deformation. With both vales totally closed, the piston 2 and the rod 17 are firmly fixed by incompressibility of oil closed in the oil chambers 4, 5 to exhibit fail-safe function of preventing vibration of a base isolation layer or preventing damage of the base isolation device due to repetition of vibration, thereby locking not to cause deformation in the base isolation layer. Thus, the respective functions can be used properly so as to simplify equipment and reduce the cose.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a base isolating device from being bent as much as possible by interposing a cushioning material for absorbing and moderating the bending deformation of a structure between the structure and the face plate of the base isolating device to connect the both. SOLUTION: A recessed part 2a is provided upward on the upper face plate 2 of a base isolating device 1 horizontally set on the pedestal 6a of a foundation 6, and a protruding part 5a to be fitted to the recessed part 2a is protruded downward in the connecting position of the foundation beam 5 of a base isolating structure with the base isolating device 1. A highly ductile buffering material 4 such as lead is filled in the recessed part 2a, the recessed part 2a is fitted to the protruding part 5a to ensure a horizontal clearance 7a and a vertical clearance 7b between the both, and a ring seal 8 for sealing the buffering material 4 is installed to the circumferential surface of the protruding part 5a. Thus, the volume of the buffering material 4 is kept constant, and the foundation beam 5 is never settled even by a large loading weight from the foundation beam 5. Since the lead material has a low yield point, however, it is plasticized by the bending moment of the foundation beam 5 to absorb and moderate the bending deformation of the foundation beam 5, so that no excessive bending is imparted to the base isolating device 1.

    • PURPOSE:To decrease resonance between a device mounting bed and a supporting bed so as to suppress vibration of the device mounting bed, inexpensively, by providing a damping air spring, vibro-suppressing air spring, two vibration sensors, resonance decreasing control mechanism, air pressure control mechanism, etc. CONSTITUTION:The device mounting bed 13 is provided in a supporting bed 2 through a damping air spring 11 and a vibro-suppressing air spring 12, and further vibration sensors 22, 23 for detecting vibration in a vertical direction are provided in the supporting bed 2 and the mounting bed 13. A spring constant of the spring 11 is decreased and a damping amount is increased when the mounting bed 13 and the supporting bed 2 are placed in a resonance condition based on a detection result of the sensors 22, 23. A resonance decreasing control mechanism, comprising flow regulating valve 19 and an auxiliary tank 11a or the like, is provided. Further based on detection of the sensor 22, a pressure of air, given to the spring 12, is adjusted so as to negate vibration. An air pressure control mechanism, consisting of a servo valve 18 or the like, is provided. Propagation of vibration in the vertical direction to the mounting bed 13 is suppressed by adjusting the pressure of air given to the spring 12 while relaxing vibration by the springs 11, 12, and resonance in the vertical direction between the mounting bed 13 and the supporting bed 2 is reduced.
