摘要： PURPOSE:To facilitate exchange of a belt and to improve the productivity of continuous casting by providing each function for sending from coiler to belt stretching direction, cutting to the prescribed length and welding at the time of exchanging the worn belt to new belt. CONSTITUTION:End part guide tool 13 is held to insert both ends of a coil by approaching and separating one pair of upper and lower jaws 13a, 13b with suitable driving means. When the end of the coil 12 reaches to the belt holding jig 14, a cutter 15 is arranged at the position where length of the coil 12 going round pulleys 3 comes to the belt length. The rear end of the coil 12 cut to the prescribed length with the cutter 15 is carried to the belt holding jig 14 with a back end part guide tool 16. By this method, the front end and rear end of the coil 12 are held as touching or overlapping at the position of the belt holding jig 14. After that, the guide tools 13, 16 are detached from both ends of the coil 12. Under this condition, by mutually welding the end parts, the belt going round the pulleys 3 is obtd.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of ripple marks and to produce an ingot having a good surface skin by providing a refractory gate which prevents the back flow of a pouring metal into the groove of a casting mold on the side opposite from the rotating direction of the mold from the pouring point of the molten metal of the mold under horizontal rotation. CONSTITUTION:This horizontal rotation type continuous casting device produces the ingot by rotating horizontally the endless grooved annular mold 1 opened in the upper part by a motor 2, tilting a ladle 9 by a motor 8 to cast the molten metal therein through a tundish 11 into the mold groove 10 having a small section and taking out continuously the ingot cooled and solidified by the cooling water supplied from a cooling water piping 12 during the rotation by an ingot drawing and straightening device 3, a cutting device 4 and a conveying table 5. The refractory gate 7 is provided in the mold groove 10 in the position within 50cm on the side opposite from the rotating direction 13 of the mold 1 from the pouring point of the molten metal in such casting device to prevent the back flow of the pouring metal. The gate 7 is adequately provided with 0.01-1mm spacing between the mold 1 side wall and base or is so provided as to contact slidingly with the base.

The flow M of the poured molten steel collides with the screen 8 and divides into a flow which proceeds to the surface of the molten steel 5 and flows (m), (m) which go around the both side of the screen 8 and collide with the surface 5 of the molten steel near the point where the center of the flow M intersects the molten steel surface 5. The fluxes of divided flows (m), (m) are smaller than that of the original flow, so that their energy decreases remarkably, hence no waves are formed on the molten steel surface 5.
