    • PURPOSE:To effect the outflow of the concrete in a good condition by a method wherein the side walls of the hopper are arranged so as to be swingable about the lower ends thereof and are risen up by rotating means in accordance with the decrease of the concrete in the hopper. CONSTITUTION:Two sets of openings, connected to duplex cylinders 2, 2' are formed at the bottom of the hopper 1 while the openings are provided with hopper side switching valves 4 synchronizing with the motions of piston rods 3 and closing the openings alternately. When the piston rod 3 is retreated to induce the concrete 7 in the hopper 1, the switching valve 4 is opened while a compressing side switching valve 5 is closed. In the above-described device, slanted regulating plates 9 are provided in the hopper 1 so as to be swingable about the lower ends thereof and springs 8 are interposed between the plates 9 and the hopper 1. According to this method, the slanted regulating plates 9 are risen up by the springs 8 in accordance with the gradual decrease of the concrete 7 in the hopper 1 and thereby improving the outflow of the concrete 7.

    • PURPOSE: To facilitate operations for mooring a floating member to a mooring body and to facilitate release of the mooring in case of emergency by mooring the floating member to the mooring body by means of a rigid connecting member in the form of scissors which is fixed to the floating member and has a projecting end provided with an openable and closable clamping portion.
      CONSTITUTION: If a winch 20 is operated to take up a wire 21 and simultaneously another winch 18 is operated to feed out a wire 19, a clamping portion 4 is opened around a pin 10. In this condition, a floating member 1 is moved near to a mooring body and the winch 20 is operated to feed out the wire 21 and at the same time the winch 18 is operated to take up the wire 19 whereafter the clamping portion 4 is closed, thereby connecting the floating member 1 to the mooring body. Thereafter, a hose connecting portion 27 may be suitably coupled thereto. In order to release the connection urgently, the hose connecting portion 27 is first cut off and then the wire 19 is fed out while the wire 21 is taken up to open the clamping portion 4. Thus, the connection can be easily released.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to manufacture a titled pipe in which the innermost layer is formed by a coil of a thin plate thickness by winding the innermost layer and the 2nd layer on a mandrel of the same size as the inside diameter of a required pipe until at least the winding of the 2nd layer to a round is finished. CONSTITUTION:A strip plate 1 being a coil material of an extra thin plate thickness for forming the innermost layer is too low in rigidity to permit sound welding when it alone is wound spirally. This also gives trouble such as infeasibility of winding a strip plate, thicker than the plate 1, to be wound later at a minimum interlayer space. To prevent this, the strip plate is wound on the mandrel 3 which is made coincide its outside circumference with the inside circumference of the required pipe and it is bound by welding. Accordingly, the mandrel 3 is only required to have a length in the pipe axis direction up to where the winding of the strip plate 2 of the 2nd layer to a round is finished. The mandrel, with its center of revolution being the center of the pipe axis, is rotationally driven at a peripheral speed corresponding to the feed speed for winding. In the case of winding to 3 or more plies, there is no need for the mandrel 3.

    • PURPOSE:To provide the subject method and device wherein a molding sand in a molding flask is pressed from the lower part by pushing up a surface plate, and simultaneously the molding sand is uniformly pressed by a plurality of sqeeze heads to mold the molding sand thereby to obtain effectively a mold for a large size material. CONSTITUTION:A pattern 9 and a molding flask 6 are placed on a surface plate 7, and molding sand 8 is charged therein, thereafter said surface plate 7 being settled in a molding machine. Then, a molding flask stopper 5 is lifted and lowered to a height corresponding to the molding sand compression quantity and fixed thereto, and only the molding flask 6 is pushed up by a molding flask lifting and lowering ram 12 until it comes into contact with the molding flask stopper 5. Subsequently, oil is pressed in a squeeze head lifting and lowering cylinder 3 and a molding sand pressing cylinder 11, and molding sand 8 is pushed up by a pressure ram 10 until the flange 21 of the surface plate 7 comes into contact with the molding flask 6, and the molding sand 8 is uniformly pressed by squeeze heads 1 from the upper part, whereby the molding sand is applied with pressure and compressed from the upper and lower parts thereof and thus molded.

    • PURPOSE:To add the plastic deformation further to the gear after the surface hardening treatment on purpose to improve the fatigue strength, by thread rolling the tooth root portion when the tooth tip contacts with the bottom land of the gear to be worked, and by arranging the thread rolling tooth so as to rotate without giving the plastic deformation to the tooth surface when the tooth tip contacts with the tooth surface. CONSTITUTION:The thread rolling tool gear 3 is formed so as to make the shape of its tooth tip 3a (shown by the cross hatching ) to be approximately same profile figure as the tooth root portion 1a (shown by the cross hatching) of the gear 1 to be worked. Besides, the total tooth height is made taller than the standard tooth 2 on purpose to make possible the thread rolling of the tooth root portion 1a. Then, when the tooth tip 3a contacts with the bottom land of the gear 1 to be worked, the tooth root portion 1a is thread rolled by the compression force in the direction of tooth height, and a residual compression stress layer is formed; however, when the tooth tip 3a contacts with the tooth surface 1b of the gear 1 to be worked, the tooth surface 3b is easily formed thin being caught in the direction of tooth thickness, therefore, the entire thread rolling tooth catches the tooth surface 3b and rotates without giving the plastic deformation to the tooth surface 1b.
