摘要： In an automatic focus detecting camera of the present invention, a light measuring circuit performs light measuring operation when a light measuring switch is closed, so that an automatic focus controller performs automatic focus detecting and controlling operation. If an in-focus condition is detected by the automatic focus controller when a preview switch is operated, preview control is started. If an in-focus condition is not detected, preview control is forbidden. Thus, automatic focus detecting operation and preview operation can be performed independent of a prescribed aperture value.

摘要： An electronic appliance having a microcomputer, peripheral devices controlled by the microcomputer, a main battery acting as power source, and a backup battery for backing up the main battery. Checking is made of whether the main battery is loaded in the appliance or not and whether the output voltage of the main battery is above a predetermined voltage or not. When the main battery is not loaded or when its output voltage is below the predetermined voltage, the backup battery is made available for preserving information in the memory inside or outside the microcomputer in good order, with operations of the peripheral devices being restricted at such times. Further, the disclosed electronic appliance includes means to prevent malfunctioning of the microcomputer and the peripheral devices when a new main battery has been loaded in the appliance as replacement for an exhausted main battery.

摘要： A film winding/rewinding mechanism of a camera driven by an ultrasonic wave motor. The winding driving section includes a cylindrical spool and a cylindrical first ultrasonic wave vibrator provided in the spool. A roller urged by a leaf spring is pressed against the peripheral surface of the spool, so that the peripheral surface of the vibrator contacts the inner surface of the spool at a point in the circumferential direction thereof. The film rewinding driving section includes a film rewinding fork, a cylindrical member mounted on the periphery of the rewinding fork, and a cylindrical second ultrasonic wave vibrator provided between the rewinding fork and the cylindrical member. The diameter of the outer circumference of the second ultrasonic wave vibrator is greater than the diameter of the outer circumference of the first vibrator. In winding/rewinding the film, the cylindrical member is urged by the tension of the film, so that the peripheral surface of the cylindrical member contacts the peripheral surface of the second vibrator contacts at a point in the circumferential direction thereof. In winding the film, a voltage is applied to the first vibrator to rotate the spool. In rewinding the film, a voltage is applied to the second vibrator to rotate the fork.

摘要： A camera system with an auto-focusing system includes a camera body and an interchangeable zoom lens. The interchangeable objective lens stores various data to be sent to the camera body for improving automatic focus adjustment, such as an information necessary to convert the detected defocus information into a movement of the driving power source to carry out the automatic focus adjustment. The driving power source in the camera body is controlled in responses to the data from the interchangeable objective lens and the detected focus information, the driving power being transmitted to the interchangeable objective lens.
