    • A wind direction adjusting device includes a wind speed uniforming unit provided upstream of a wind path having a nonuniform wind speed distribution from the side of high wind speed to the side of low wind speed, and a blow-off opening provided downstream of the wind path, which includes a wind direction deflecting plate for deflecting the blow-off direction of the blown-off wind. Further, the wind speed uniforming unit includes a deflecting guide provided on a wind path wall on the side of the high wind speed for deflecting blown-off wind toward a wind path center portion; a wind path wall portion on the side opposite deflecting guide, the shape of which is changed in accordance with the shape of the deflecting guide so that the sectional area of the wind path is substantially uniform; and an enlarged wind path portion provided immediately after the downstream side end portion of the deflecting guide, the enlarged wind path portion serving to return the blown-off wind from the wind path center portion to the wind path wall downstream the deflecting guide on the side of the deflecting guide.

    • A rolling bearing unit with decreased weight and improved durability is provided. An outer-ring core, manufactured using a ferrous alloy, forms an outer ring and is molded to an outer-ring main body that is manufactured using a synthetic resin containing reinforced fibers or using an aluminum alloy. Outer-ring raceway members are fitted into and fastened to mating concave surfaces of the inner circumferential surface of the outer-ring core that are exposed from the outer-ring main body. A hub core, manufactured using a ferrous alloy, forms a hub and is molded to a hub main body made using a synthetic resin containing reinforced fibers or using an aluminum alloy. Around the outer circumferential surface of the hub core, inner-ring raceway members are fitted onto and fastened to a fitting surface of the outer circumferential surface of the hub core that is exposed from the hub main body.

    • The invention provides an ultrasonic flow velocity meter that can measure the flow velocity of a fluid over a wide range of degree of contamination with high degree of accuracy. The ultrasonic flow velocity meter includes a mounting base to be fixed to the outside of a conduit line in which the fluid to be measured flows, the mounting base having a mounting surface formed obliquely with respect to a longitudinal axis of the conduit line, a sending transducer fixed to the mounting base for emitting an ultrasonic wave to the interior of the fluid, a receiving transducer fixed to the mounting base and receiving the reflected ultrasonic wave having subjected to Doppler shift and emitted from the interior of the fluid, and a calculating unit for calculating the flow velocity of the fluid from the amount of the Doppler shift of the reflected wave received by the receiving transducer. The sending transducer and the receiving transducer are being arranged so that an axis of sending and an axis of reception are coincided with respect to each other, continuously send the ultrasonic wave and continuously receive the ultrasonic wave, respectively.
