    • There are provided a magnetic layer 2, a buffer layer 3 deposited on the magnetic layer 2, and a magnetic sensing section 7 constituted by a magneto-resistive device in which a fixed magnetization layer 4, a non-magnetic layer 5, and a magnetization-free layer 6 are deposited on the buffer layer 3 in this order. Further provided are a buffer layer 8 which sandwiches the magnetic sensing section 7 with the buffer layer 3 and a biasing layer 10 which covers the right and left sides of the part constituted by the buffer layer 3, the magnetic sensing section 7, and the buffer layer 8 and which is deposited on the magnetic layer 2 with a nonconductor layer 9 being interposed therebetween. On that surface, a near field light generation section 14 is formed which is constituted by a magnetic layer 11, a dielectric layer 12, and a metal layer 13. With this, it is possible to obtain a magnetic sensor device which can efficiently perform photo-assisted reproduction of information from a magnetic recording medium, a magnetic reproduction head and a magnetic reproducer using the device, and a magnetic reproduction method of a magnetic recording medium, using the magnetic reproducer.

    • A squeeze pump adapted to transfer a slurry with solid materials comprises a resilient tube at least partly curved along an imaginary circle, a rotary arbor situated in the center of the imaginary circle so that the curved portion of the resilient tube is equidistantly away from the rotary arbor, the rotary arbor being adapted to be rotated by power means, and at least one pair of pressing devices connected to the arbor for pressing the resilient tube. Each pressing device includes a support shaft extending outwardly from the arbor toward the resilient tube, and a presser roll freely and rotationally connected to the support shaft. The presser roll is formed of a main body and a tapered head. The two pressing devices face each other so that the innermost planes of the main bodies always facing each other are parallel and are spaced apart at a distance about twice as great as the thickness of the wall of the resilient tube. When the rotary arbor is rotated, the presser rolls gradually nip the tube from a portion close to the rotary arbor toward outwardly by means of the tapered head so that the solid materials contained in the slurry are pushed gradually away from the tapered heads to prevent the solid materials from being nipped by the main bodies, and then press the tube completely by means of the main bodies.

    • A squeeze pump has an elastic tube disposed between an inlet and an outlet of a cylindrical drum and extends along an inner peripheral surface of the drum. A pair of pressing rollers spaced by 180 degrees are arranged to press the tube. The tube is deformed into a flat shape with two bent portions to transfer a slurry within the tube. The tube has a large diameter in the inlet and a small diameter in the outlet. Each pressing roller has a large diameter formed at the middle and a small diameter at both ends. A support member extends along the inner peripheral surface of drum to support at least one of the bent portions of tube when the tube is pressed by the pressing roller.
