摘要： A radiation detection apparatus including a sensor panel, having a photoreceiving unit constituted of plural photoelectric converting elements two-dimensionally arranged on a substrate and electrical connecting portions provided in an external portion of the photoreceiving unit and electrically connected to the photoelectric converting elements of respective rows or columns of the photoreceiving unit, a phosphor layer provided at least on the photoreceiving unit for converting a radiation into a light detectable by the photoelectric converting element, and a phosphor protective member covering the phosphor layer and in contact with the sensor panel, characterized in that the phosphor protective member includes a frame member provided between the phosphor layer and the electric connecting portion on the sensor panel, and a phosphor protective layer covering an upper surface of the phosphor layer and provided in close contact with an upper surface of the frame member. This configuration allows to prevent a discharge of an electrostatic charge accumulated on the sensor panel, thereby providing a stable radiation detection apparatus with a high production yield.

The method includes the steps of providing a waveform shaper for waveform shaping input signal light and outputting output signal light, measuring the quality of the output signal light, and controlling the power of the input signal light so that the quality measured is improved. According to this method, a substantially optimum threshold can be obtained to allow a good regenerating operation.

摘要： There is disclosed an illumination device in which a light guide is adapted to emit the light from a face thereof and is provided with an area, on a face opposite to the light emitting face, for diffusing and/or reflecting the light introduced into the light guide from an end face thereof or is provided with uneven light emitting characteristics along the longitudinal direction of the light guide, and the center of the light source positioned at the end of the light guide is placed at a position aberrated from the normal line to the area, whereby attained are compactness, a low cost, a low electric power consumption, a high efficiency of utilization of the light emitted by the light source, and excellent and uniform illumination characteristics. There are also disclosed an image reading device and an information processing apparatus, equipped with the above-mentioned illumination device.

摘要： A radiation detection apparatus includes a scintillator panel having a scintillator layer which converts radiation into light and a scintillator protective layer which protects the scintillator layer, and a sensor panel having a sensor array in which a plurality of photoelectric converters which detect light from the scintillator layer are arranged and a sensor protective layer which protects the sensor array. The scintillator panel is bonded to the sensor panel by making the scintillator layer adhere to the sensor protective layer by using the scintillator protective layer as an adhesive material. A principal component of the scintillator protective layer is the same as a principal component of the sensor protective layer.
