    • PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous detection due to condensed water, in the detection of the pool lining, which has a structure wherein a steel plate is lined on a concrete wall interposed by a ground material, by connecting a leakage detecting groove at each place, and flowing dry air. CONSTITUTION:A steel plate 11 is attached to a concrete wall 1 interposed by a ground material 12 with a leakage detecting groove 7 by welding. The leakage detecting groove 7 in each ground material 12 at the upper part of a pool wall 2 is connected to a trough 20 by way of a communicating hole 21. The groove is communicated to the next trough 20 by a pipe 22. Water from the groove 7 passes through a leakage-detection collecting pipe 8, which is provided in every leakage detecting area 5, and collected to drain receiving port 10 through a flow glass 9. Thus the presence or absence of the leakage is detected. Since the grooves 7 are connected by the flow glass 9 for every leakage detecting area 5, the condensed water yielded in the grooves 7 can be dried and removed by feeding dry air from a dry air feeding device 14 through one inlet port and exhausting the air from another port.

    • PURPOSE:To make the limitation of leaking places perfect and sure and to permit the early discovery of the leaking places and the early execution of countermeasures by setting boundaries for detection of leakage on the weld lines of lining plates, and installing grooves for detection of leakage in respective areas with the same as boundaries. CONSTITUTION:A floor surface is segmented to four areas, and boundaries for detection of leakage are set on the weld lines of lining plates nearest the centerline of a storage tank. Grooves 1 for detection of leakage are segmented completely by the boundary parts. In the case of a lined storage tank, the lining plates are embedded into concrete surfaces and are welded with underlying metals as backing strips; therefore, the leaking water produced in a certain area including the water flowing on the surfaces of the lining plates and the concrete are dammed up perfectly by the boundary parts set on the weld lines of the lining plates and flow into one of leakage detecting pipings 2 which are provided by each one in each area, without flowing into the other area. Thus the limitation of the leaking places is made perfect and sure.
