    • Disclosed is a method of producing a hologram through a two-beam laser interfering exposure process, which comprises emitting a coherent laser light with a pulse width (τ) ranging from greater than 900 femtoseconds to 100 picoseconds and a laser power of 10 μJ/pulse or more using a solid-state laser as a light source, dividing the pulses light from the laser into two beams, controlling the two beams temporally and spatially in such a manner that the two beam are converged on a surface of or inside a workpiece for recording a hologram while matching the respective converged spots of the two beams with one another temporally and spatially to create the interference therebetween so as to record a surface-relief hologram on the surface of the workpiece or an embedded hologram inside the workpiece in an irreversible manner. The present invention can solve a problem with a conventional process of recording a hologram in a non-photosensitive material in an irreversible manner using interfering femtosecond laser pulses, specifically, distortion in the waveforms of pulsed laser beams and resulting instability in recording of an embedded hologram due to a non-linear optical interaction between the femtosecond laser pulses and air/the material.

    • A simultaneous voice-call system for a cordless telephone where communication between a base unit and a plurality of portable units is established through the use of a radio communication channel. The base unit includes a transmitter/receiver which establishes a communication channel between base unit and plurality of portable units. The transmitter/receiver has a control channel and a plurality of talk channels. A portable-unit-identifying number memory stores portable-unit-identifying numbers preassigned to the plurality of portable units. A first simultaneous call controller responsive to a simultaneous call command from a user to establish a talk-channel between the plurality of portable units by transmitting through the control channel portable-unit-identifying numbers stored in the portable-unit-identifying number memory, a vacant-talk-channel number, and a simultaneous call code to the plurality of portable units. The talk-channel is a radio communication channel through which a message is transmitted from the base unit to the plurality of portable units. The simultaneous call code indicates that the message is transmitted to the portable units at the same time. Each of the plurality of portable units includes a portable-unit-identifying number assigned thereto and a second simultaneous call controller.

    • A portable-to-portable call transfer system for cordless telephone. The base unit is connected with a portable unit over a radio channel. The call-transfer requesting signal relay responds to a transfer requesting signal from a calling portable unit to hold an incoming call while also transmitting both the transfer requesting signal and the channel number of a talk channel to a called portable unit over a control channel. The portable-to-portable line setting section transmits the off-hook signal to the calling portable unit over the talk channel and connects the receiver output of a transmitter-receiver to the transmitter input of the transmitter-receiver so as to enable the calling portable unit to send a voice message to the called portable unit upon reception of an off-hook signal from the called portable unit. The portable-to-portable line disabling section disables the connection of the receiver-output-to-transmitter-input and connects the incoming call to the called portable unit upon reception of an on-hook signal from the calling portable unit. The call-transfer requesting signal generator outputs a call-transfer requesting signal to the base unit. The call-transfer requesting signal indicates a portable unit to which the incoming call is transferred. The call-transfer line setting section permits to send the voice message upon reception of the off-hook signal via the base unit. The call-transfer line disabling section establishes a talk channel between the base unit upon reception of the on-hook signal via the base unit.
