    • A closed loop mixture control system for internal combustion engines is responsive to a signal derived from an exhaust gas sensor. The sensor signal is time-integrated in a direction depending on the level of the gas sensor output to derive a first mixture corrective setting of the control system. Second corrective settings or learning data are established for the control system in correspondence with the amount of air supplied to the engine. Each of the latter settings is varied as a function of time in a direction depending on the value of the time-varying first corrective setting relative to a reference so that the second settings are automatically updated to meet varying engine performance such as aging. One of the second corrective settings is selected in response to the detected quantity of the supplied air and multiplied by the first corrective setting to correct the basic mixture control setting of the system toward an optimum value. All of the second corrective settings are reset to appropriate values, for example, "1" at the instant the engine is started if an average value of the second settings is greater than a predetermined value to compensate for different fuel vaporizations.

    • There is disclosed an ultrasonic tomography apparatus of electronic scanning type in which an array of ultrasonic transducer elements are excited with desired time delays allotted for the transducer elements thereby to transmit and receive ultrasonic beams at a deflection angle corresponding to the desired time delays, and the received echo signal of the ultrasonic beams is displayed on a CRT display device in a form of a tomograph of a sample to which the ultrasonic beams are directed. The apparatus comprises a memory in which both of first signals representative of the time delays given to the transducer elements in dependence on given deflection angles and signals designating display position in the X- and Y-directions of the CRT are previously stored and read out for producing delays allotted for the transducer elements and displaying the received echo signal on the CRT.

    • A disc brake assembly includes a disc rotor rotated with a wheel in a body, a mounting member fixed to a stational member of vehicles and having an arm portion in which a pair of grooves extending toward to the axial direction of the disc rotor are provided therein. A brake pad disposed to at least one side of the disc rotor and having a pair of ear portions which are outwardly projected at the center portion or the outer side of both ends in the rotational direction of the disc rotor of its backing plate, respectively and which are fitted into a pair of groove portion formed in the arm portion of the mounting member and slidably supported on the arm portion of the mounting member toward to the axial direction of the disc rotor. The brake pad has a backing plate in which end surfaces in the rotational direction of the disc rotor of the rotational center side of the disc rotor from the each ear portion are formed in wedge-shape in the diameter direction of the disc rotor and the mounting member has torque resisting surfaces opposed to the rotational center side of the disc rotor from each ear portion of the end surfaces of the backing plate in the rotational direction of the disc rotor at its arm portion and formed in V-shape in corresponding to the backing plate. Since the brake pad is held under a stable condition in the diameter direction and the rotational direction of the disc rotor and is prevented from movement, it is able to fundamentally prevent generation of the uncomfortable squeak noise of the disc brake assembly caused by movement of the brake pad.

    • Disclosed is a process for preparing a printed-circuit board, which process comprises the steps of:(a) subjecting a copper plated laminated, insulative plate for use in a printed circuit and having through-holes to electrodeposition coating in a photo-curable electrodeposition coating composition bath to form a resist film on the surface of a copper foil of the copper plated laminated insulative plate;(b) lapping a wiring pattern mask on the resist film so that a through-hole wall area may form an exposed area;(c) exposing the resist film to ultraviolet light through the lapped wiring pattern mask;(d) removing the wiring pattern mask from the resist film;(e) exposing the resist film in the through-hole wall area to ultraviolet light through an optical fiber;(f) removing the resist film not exposed under the wiring pattern mask;(g) etching away the exposed copper foil; and(h) removing the etching resist pattern film.
