    • Disclosed is a pressurized oven apparatus having a compressor and a pressurized chamber for rapidly preparing food products and retaining internal moisture therein. The apparatus comprises an oven with a pin-locking door and sealing means, an internal chamber having heating elements and a structure designed to withstand elevated internal pressures. Ambient air is drawn into the device through an air filter by an air compressor means. The compressor elevates the air pressure as it enters, whereby it flows to a preheating chamber, raising its temperature prior to being forced into the oven internal chamber. An automated relief valve system allows a consistent pressure to be maintained within the chamber, allowing the pressurized air to be evacuated therefrom through an insulated and muffled outlet. The air outlet of the device is preferably connected to an insulated air line to vent air to the exterior of a building or residence.

    • The sensitivity of a photosensor is improved without decreasing read-out efficiency. The photosensor includes: a photodiode (D1) that converts received light into an electric current; a light shielding film (LS) that generates a parasitic capacitance between the photodiode (D1) and itself, a control signal line (RWST) that supplies a storage node (INT) with a reset signal and a read-out signal via the photodiode (D1); and a transistor (M2) connected with the storage node (INT) and an output line (OUT) for outputting, to the output line (OUT), an output signal corresponding to the potential of the storage node (INT) in response to the read-out signal.

    • A protective structure for a vehicle having an opening on an upper surface is provided. One embodiment of the invention has at least a partial enclosure around an area defined laterally by the vehicle opening with an overhead and side protective capability. An embodiment of the invention has an overhead cover that is formed to substantially enclose a top area of the enclosure and having multiple panels that may be locked into place or opened by an occupant for exit through a top area of the enclosure. The multiple panels in this embodiment extend upwardly and inwardly from a section of the enclosure's side walls. Ballistic windows are provided on the protective structure such that an occupant can view laterally and vertically through the enclosure and overhead cover. A shield or protective plate can be mounted on one side of the enclosure.

    • A composite material that can be economically produced without the emission of VOCs that is extremely strong and is bonded at the molecular level. An embodiment of the present invention can be a composite of two or more layers with a first layer made from an aliphatic polymer like a polyurea and a resin like an isocyanate resin. A third layer of strengthened urethane foam can optionally be used. The composite material can be made up of layers of material with a first layer of a polyurea polymer and the second layer of an isocyanate resin chemically bonded to the first layer. The first layer can have a glossy outer surface if desired. The second layer can also optionally contain carbon fibers, nano-tubes or basalt fibers for extra strength if desired. The material can be produced in sheets of from 8 to 12 feet wide and from 40 to 60 feet long. Carbon fibers, carbon nano-tubes and Basalt fibers can be added for strength and rigidity. The optional urethane foam layer can contain carbon fibers, carbon nano-tubes or basalt or other fibers for strengthening.
