摘要： PURPOSE:To increase strength of a negative electrode with performance retained by forming the negative electrode by bonding a negative active material to a current collector through a low melting point alloy. CONSTITUTION:A negative electrode 4 is formed by bonding a negative active material to a current collector 3 through a low melting point alloy 2, or by previously melt-spreading the low melting point alloy on the current collector, and pressing the negative active material against the current collector, then melting the low melting point alloy. A nonaqueous system secondary battery is fabricated in such a way that the low melting point alloy 2 melt-spreaded on the current collector 3 in the negative electrode 4 has different composition from a low melting point alloy previously melt-spreaded on the inner surface of a battery container, and the negative electrode is melt-bonded to the container through the container side low melting point alloy. The container side low melting point alloy has lower melting point than the low melting point alloy used on the current collector.

The strength of the Li alloy is improved, and the negative electrode 1 can stably and continuously maintain its shape at the time of molding even if lithium is released by a discharge.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve charge/discharge characteristics and improve the strength of a negative electrode by coating the periphery of negative electrode active material with metal foil, and setting the thickness of the metal foil to be 20mum to 300mum and the material of the metal foil to be stainless or nickel. CONSTITUTION:Removal of negative electrode grains 3 is prevented by coating the periphery of a negative electrode 4 with stainless foil 1, and expanded metal 2 is spot welded with the stainless foil 1 in coating the negative electrode 4. Stainless or nickel shall be used for material of the metal foil, and its thickness shall preferably be 20mum-3000mum. The negative electrode 4 and a positive electrode 6 are formed to be a coil type battery by means of a gasket 7 through a separator 5. Because the expanded metal 2 contacts with an outer can along the whole surface, the inner resistance of the battery is reduced to achieve a long life negative electrode, while deterioration of the negative electrode to make it powdery and destroyed can be prevented mechanically.

CONSTITUTION:A secondary cell is composed of a positive electrode 3, a negative electrode 1 which consists of a negative electrode substance to absorb and release lithium inversely, and a nonaqueous electrolyte including a lithium salt, and the negative electrode 1 of the secondary cell is composed of an alloy of lithium, lead, and an alkaline earth metal, making the atomic ratio of the alloy 1-8:0.01-0.05. That is, by adding an alkaline earth metal to a Li-Pb alloy, the strength of the alloy, under the condition to remove the lithium from the alloy by the discharge, is improved, and the disintegration of the electrode is suppressed accordingly. Consequently, a secondary cell with little deterioration of activeness owing to the disintegration of the electrode, and with a long service life, can be obtained.

In the high potential lithium alloy, for ex. lithium-indium alloy, the ratio of litium to indium shall be below 1.0 by atomic ratio. The particles of high potential lithium alloy and particles of low potential lithium alloy shall be dispersed in the molding evenly. It is particularly favorable that the particles of high potential lithium alloy are attached to the surface of the particles of low potential lithium alloy.

The reversibility of an electrode is increased and the life of a battery is lengthened.

Further, in order to obtain this lithium alloy, these metals are dissolved and carried by the conductive fiber and the conductive porous matter and next the metals carried in this way are alloyed electrochemically in an organic electrolytic solution. Carbon fiber or stainless steel fiber is used as the conductive fiber.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce self discharge and lengthen discharge life by using a conductive polymer and electrolyte which have a specified constitution. CONSTITUTION:A conductive polymer is polyaniline whose molar ratio of hydrogen to carbon is 0.75-0.85 and having an anion structure in its principal chain. Electrolyte is prepared by dissolving a double salt of lithium in a mixture solvent of propylene carbonate and ether. Anions are doped by charge and undoped by discharge. This means that anions are released from polyaniline. Thereby, self discharge of a battery is reduced and discharge life is lengthened.
