摘要： There is provided a drug dispenser device comprising a housing defining a first chamber; extending from said housing and defining a second open chamber, an outlet for insertion into a body cavity of a patient; provided to said first chamber of the housing, a discharge block defining a discharge block orifice; receivable within the first chamber for movement therewithin, a drug discharge device, said drug discharge device having a longitudinal axis and comprising a container for storing a drug formulation to be dispensed, a discharge mechanism and a discharge channel from said container, wherein said discharge channel is receivable by said discharge block to enable discharge of said drug formulation via said discharge block orifice to said outlet; provided to the housing; and at least one finger operable member moveable to apply a force directly or indirectly to the drug discharge device for movement along the longitudinal axis towards the discharge block to actuate said discharge mechanism. The housing further defines an aperture through which said at least one finger operable member in part protrudes, and wherein the at least one finger operable member is moveable from a rest position in which the at least one finger operable member acts to block off said aperture to an actuating position in which the aperture is unblocked and through which air may be drawn into the housing in response to patient inhalation through the outlet.

摘要： There is provided a medicament dispenser device for the delivery of medicament powder from an open blister pocket of at least one blister pack. The dispenser device comprises a housing having an air inlet (470); enclosed by the housing, a dispensing mechanism for the dispensing of medicament powder from an open blister pocket; and associated with the dispensing mechanism and in communication with the air inlet, a manifold (450). The manifold comprises a body, the body defining a chimney (452) having a chimney inlet (453) and a chimney exit (454b) for directing airflow (483) from said chimney inlet to said chimney exit; the body further defining a chamber having a chamber inlet (473b) and a chamber exit (474), wherein the chimney exit and said chamber inlet lie side-by-side each other such that when said open blister pocket of said blister pack is positioned adjacent thereto said airflow may be directed from the chimney exit to the chamber inlet via the open blister pocket to entrain said medicament powder and enable transport thereof. In use, the airflow is drawn into the chimney of the manifold solely through the air inlet provided to the housing.

摘要： A dispensing device for dispensing a substance, for instance a pressurised metered dose inhaler (pDMI), comprises a housing in which the substance is receivable and which has a dispensing nozzle from which the substance is in use dispensed and a closure for releasable mounting on the nozzle for closure thereof. The closure comprises a cap member which is configured and arranged with respect to the nozzle such as to be capable of being slid over the nozzle in an intended orientation of the cap member and an unintended orientation of the cap member. In the intended orientation of the cap member the closure is securably mounted on the nozzle by sliding the cap member over the nozzle by a predetermined amount to a stationary position. The housing and the closure are configured and arranged with respect to each other such that the cap member cannot slide over the nozzle by the predetermined amount to a stationary position when in the unintended orientation thereby to indicate to the user that the closure is not correctly mounted on the nozzle.

摘要： A fluid dispensing device comprising a body defining a cavity and a dispensing nozzle. A fluid discharging device is housed in the cavity. The fluid discharging device has a hollow casing defining a reservoir for containing a volume of fluid and a plunger slidingly engaged within the hollow casing. The plunger has a tubular portion which is arranged to extend from a first end of the hollow casing for co-operation with the dispensing nozzle. A biasing means is interposed between a second end of the hollow casing and an end wall of the cavity to bias the hollow casing towards the dispensing nozzle. A locking means holds the biasing means in a compressed state. Upon release of the locking means, the force stored in the biasing means is applied to the hollow casing thereby causing fluid to be ejected from the reservoir into the dispensing nozzle.
