    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent to the utmost the quality of an image photographed by a camera capable of executing a pseudo zoom photographing action from being deteriorated. SOLUTION: This variable focus camera is constituted so that a normal photographing mode in which printing in normal magnification is assumed with almost the whole area of a photographic picture frame recorded on a film as a printing range and a pseudo variable power photographing mode in which the printing at enlargement printing magnification being higher than the normal magnification is assumed with the area of one part set within the photographic picture frame and provided with an almost identical aspect ratio to that of the photographic picture frame can be switched from one to the other. Besides, the camera is provided with a data recording means recording data showing that a photographing action is executed in the pseudo variable power photographing mode on the film while corresponding to a photographing frame when the photographing action is executed in the pseudo variable power photographing mode. By a controller 43, switching of the mode to the pseudo variable power photographing mode is inhibited even when it is switched to the pseudo variable power photographing mode in the case that an object range decided by the focal length of a photographing lens and the photographic picture frame is wider than an object range demarcated by the area of one part when the photographing lens is set at the shortest focal length.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily obtainable a photographing function equal to close-up photographing without forcing switching operation by shifting a mode to a pseudo variable power photographing mode when a subject exists nearer than a closest photographing distance and equal to or farther than a near point. SOLUTION: When a distance signal inputted from a range-finding device 30 shows a distance equal to or longer than the near point of range-finding being 0.5 m and shorter than the closest photographing distance being 0.8 m, a controller automatically switches the mode to the pseudo variable power photographing mode even in a state where an ordinary photographing mode is selected and further performs close-up photographing processing. When the close-up photographing processing is started, the parallax of a finder is compensated. The controller reads a lens set position S1 at which optimum focusing is obtained to the closest photographing distance being 0.8 m which is the shortest in an ordinary distance range from data in a ROM and inputs it in a focusing lens moving mechanism. The photographing function equal to the close-up photographing is easily obtained without making the camera larger and without causing the rise of cost or forcing troublesome switching operation on a photographer.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and precisely perform operation both for optical and electronic zooming by providing a 1st operation member for making an optical zooming function act on a wide side and a telephoto side and a 2nd operation member for setting electronic zooming sliding relatively in the same direction as the 1st operation member by pressing operation in the same direction as the 1st operation member. SOLUTION: By pushing an operation surface 191a on either end side of a zooming operation lever 19, the lever 19 is turned in a direction shown by an arrow B, the switch button 32a of a tact switch 32 is pushed by a pressing pin 193a, and an optical zoom lens barrel is moved to the telephoto side, Meanwhile, by pushing an operation surface 191b on the other end side of the lever 19, the lever 19 is turned in a direction shown by an arrow C, a switch button 33a is pushed, and the optical zoom lens barrel is moved to the wide side. By pushing the head 201a of the operation pin 201 of a push-button switch 20, the electronic zooming is set. The member for the electronic zooming relatively slides by pressing operation in the same direction as the pressing operation related to the operation of the optical zooming.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a horizontal original and a vertical original jointly with a simple and easy operation, even in the case an overhead projector is one equipped with a stage glass whose vertical size is different from the horizontal size. SOLUTION: The projector main body 12 is installed on a pedestal 14 through a bearing 66, and the main body 12 is supported by the bearing 66 so that it may be freely rotated around a projecting optical axis P. The projecting part 37 of the projector main body 12 is supported by an arm so that the projecting part may be freely rotated around the projecting optical axis P. In the case of projecting the vertical original, the projector main body 12 is rotated at 90 deg. to the pedestal 14. Thus, the projector main body 12 is held at that position by a click mechanism, and when a contact pin is connected to a contact brush, a light source 16 and a fan 22 are driven. A motor 42 is controlled by a control part 64 equipped with a power source, then, a reflection mirror holding member 40 is rotated around the projecting optical axis 9, and the reflection mirror holding member 40 stops rotating at the position where the reflection mirror 46 and the screen 48 face each other.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a projector which can be used for both of a transmissive original and a reflective original and which can execute projection even when either the transmissive original or the reflective original is used and which does not obstruct the field of the view of a viewer. CONSTITUTION:An opening for a stage 11a is formed on the upper surface of a housing 11 and a transmitting Fresnel lens 12 and a stage glass 13 are fitted in the opening 11a. An original cover 15 provided with a reflecting Fresnel lens 17 inside is fitted to the upper part of the housing 11 so as to be freely turnable in up-and-down direction. A projection lens unit 25 is provided on the side wall of the housing 11. Besides, a reflecting mirror 20, a light source lamp for a transmissive original 21, a light source lamp for a reflective original 22 and a power source unit 23 are provided inside the housing 11. One of the lamps 21 and 22 is turned on by the switching operation of a light source change-over switch 27. A variable diaphragm 29 is incorporated in the unit 25. By adjusting the size of the opening thereof, the brightness of a projected image can be adjusted.

    • PURPOSE:To easily take out a unit such as a timer from a main body case by installing a means for pushing out the unit such as the timer on the inside of the main body case corresponding to a recessed part for attaching the unit. CONSTITUTION:The timer is fitted in the recessed part for attaching the timer formed on an upper cover 16 so that its surface may be nearly on the same surface as that of the cover 16. A pin 54 for pushing out the timer is installed on the inside of the upper cover 16 corresponding to the attaching position of the timer. The pin 54 is pressed by a spring in a reverse direction to a pushing-out direction, and the tip part of the pin 54 is allowed to communicate with the recessed part for attaching the timer from the inside of the cover 16. In order to take out the timer 52 from the cover 16 at the time of exchanging a battery, etc., the pin 54 is pushed in a direction shown by an arrow against the pressing force of the spring, and the timer 52 is pushed out from the recessed part for attaching the timer. Thus, the timer 52 is easily detached from the cover 16.
