    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of improving the heat radiation of a solid-state imaging element.
      SOLUTION: The digital camera 10 is constituted of a body unit 14, and a lens barrel unit 12 that is attached to/detached from the front side of the body unit 14. A CCD 20 is arranged in an engaging barrel 22, constituting the back side of the lens barrel unit 12. The CCD 20 is attached to the back plate 24 of the engaging barrel 22. The body unit 14 is equipped with an aperture 30 that pierces through, from the front surface to the back surface, and then the engaging barrel 22 is fit in the aperture 30, whereby the lens barrel unit 12 and the body unit 14 are integrated. A monitor 40 is attached to the back of the body unit 14 through a shaft. The monitor 40 is held freely turnable between a shutting position, where it covers over the aperture 30 from the back side of the body unit 14 and an opening position, where it opens the aperture 30 to expose the back plate 24 so as to discharge heat from the CCD 20 to the outside.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which enables photographing to be done without being mounted with a lens unit.
      SOLUTION: In the lens unit 23, a photographing lens 24 and a CCD 25 are housed. A digital camera 10 includes a mount part 12 on the front surface of a camera main body 11 and the lens unit 23 is freely detachably mounted on the mount part 12. Also, on the upper surface of the camera main body 11, an imaging part 19 is arranged near the mount part 12. The imaging part 19 includes a photographing lens 31 and a CCD 32, and a part of the photographing lens 31 is exposed to the outside. Also, the CCD 32 images an object image image-formed by the photographing lens 31. Thus, photographing is performed even in such a state that the lens unit 23 is not mounted. Also, since the photographing lens 31 is not covered even in such a state that the lens unit 23 is mounted, one of the CCDs 25 and 32 is selected and photographing is performed.
