摘要： A glazing comprising a spring contact and a busbar and a solder layer between them is disclosed. The solder layer may be applied either to the spring contact or to the busbar before making an electrical connection between them. Alternatively, the solder layer may be applied during curing of an adhesive, which bonds the spring contact to a ply of glazing material. The spring contact comprises a bent portion and a base portion, and the bent portion is biased against the busbar by elastic force of the bent portion. If fretting wear or chemical corrosion causes a hotspot, then low melting point solder partly melts and flows to eliminate the hotspot. Therefore the connector has a self-healing function.

There is an obscuration band on the first glazing pane extending around at least a portion of the periphery thereof. The interlayer structure comprises a first adhesive layer having a thickness of between 6μm and 100μm, a carrier ply having an infra red reflecting coating on a surface thereof, a second adhesive layer thicker than the first adhesive layer and a film comprising an electrically actuated layer. The first adhesive layer contacts a portion of the surface of the first pane of glazing material and a portion of the obscuration band. The film is either (i) between the second adhesive layer and the carrier plyor (ii) between the second adhesive layer and the second pane of glazing material. The infra red reflecting coating is between the first and second adhesive layers and the second adhesive layer is in contact with the second pane of glazing material.

The tinted float glass is blue-grey in transmitted colour, and is suitable for architectural, automotive, and other applications. A particularly preferred embodiment of the glass has a colourant portion comprising 0.31–0.33% Fe 2 O 3 , 51–55 ppm Co 3 O 4 and 2–4 ppm selenium, together with a light transmission (Ill D65) of 59 to 62%, a dominant wavelength of 482 nm, a colour purity of 7 to 8%, and a performance of 3 to 7%; all in a sample 6.0 mm thick. The glass may be coated with a low emissivity coating.
