摘要： PURPOSE: To protect a coupling device from impact at the time of a small-scale collision or connection of vehicles by providing an energy absorption system in a coupling of either of two vehicle or in the coupling of the two vehicles. CONSTITUTION: The body of one vehicle A includes a ring-like center part 1 forming a truncated conical supporting surface 2 on a troidal coupling element 13. The upper part of the ring-like center part forms a first cylindrical surface 1A facing the cylindrical surface of a base plate 9B fixed to the body of a vehicle B. A cylindrical vertical edge 10 is formed on the base plate 9B of the vehicle B, and a circular part 12 of triangular cross section, which supports the troidal coupling element 13, is fixed with bolts 11. Then, an energy absorption system 3 is disposed between the upper part of the ring-like center part 1 on the vehicle A side, and the upper part of a supporting member 9 on the vehicle B side on opposite side. The energy absorption system is formed into a honeycomb structure, which is made of ordinary steel.

摘要： PURPOSE: To provide an eddy current brake support device which allows the reference to be varied from braking state to non-braking state. CONSTITUTION: The eddy current brake support device has at least one eddy current linear brake shoes 6 and 7 secured thereon, and defines the gap between the linear brake shoes and rails 8 and 9 mated with the linear brake shoes. The brake support device is provided with a first half beam 1 and a second half beam 2, which synergistically operate through a coupling means 3. In addition, vertical moving means 10 for the brake support device and vertical guiding means 11 for the brake support device are provided, and they synergistically operate. Further, at least one support arm 12 integrated with the end of either of the half beams 1 and 2 is provided. The end of the support arm, together with a reference means integrated with one of axle boxes, gives the gap a specified value when the brake support device is in braking state.

CONSTITUTION: An electrode 1 of a synchronous electric machine rotor is provided with a gradual gap zone between magnetic poles, wherein the central part is curvedly formed, a plane 2 on either one side, and an acute angle edge 3 on at least the one side. Alternatively, a curve shaved edge 3 is formed. When the electric machine rotor needs an opposite rotating direction, protruding poles are formed symmetrically with respect to an electrode shaft. A gap between the electrodes is filled with an element 5 composed of a nonmagnetic material. Thereby output power is increased by the use of a material of constant mass.

The train set includes: a connector for connecting the set to an electricity source which delivers electrical power at a high voltage greater than the rated operating voltage of the equipment; transfer apparatus for transferring electrical power at a high voltage to each car; a voltage step-down circuit connected to the transfer apparatus and from which electrical power is delivered at a low voltage in the vicinity of the rated operating voltage of the equipment; and a distributor for distributing the low-voltage electrical power to each item of electrically-powered equipment. It is also possible to provide a stand-alone generator providing, in particular, redundancy for the electrical power supply for the distributor. The train set is particularly applicable to transporting liquid or solid perishable goods, as well as chemicals, under controlled temperature.

摘要： An articulated coupling is effected between two vehicles A and B supported on a common bogey between the vehicles. The coupling includes a toroidal part connected to one of the vehicles A and a support part connected to the other vehicle B. A cylindrical pivot is fixed on a soleplate and engaged in a cylindrical bore. A toroidal coupling element is fixed on the soleplate and provides articulated coupling between the soleplate and the toroidal part. An energy absorption system is disposed between first or second cylindrical outside surfaces of the toroidal part and the facing surface of the support part. A shear system holding the support part secured to a longitudinal translation system which is fixed to a support arm connected to the other vehicle shears to prevent damage to the toroidal coupling element, with excessive force being absorbed by the energy absorption system. The present invention is also directed to a method of absorbing energy between two vehicles.
