    • A compact, reconfigurable device that allows its operator to move large and/or heavy loads, consisting of a modular base frame (1) fitted with a roller (2) which is driven by an electric or pneumatic motor and gearbox (3) attached to and residing primarily inside of said drive roller (2), a rear axle and maneuvering wheels (4) that is able to freely rotate forwards and backwards within the base frame (1) and to which is attached various types of handle shafts such as a straight (5) or "L-shaped" (6) handle shaft. Such handle shafts (6) include a controller throttle in the handle grip (7) that with the two axes of motion (pivoting rear axle forward/back and rotating handle shaft in the rear axle (4) provides the operator greater versatility in maneuvering the device. Further accessories such as brackets provide additional functionality, such as pushing and rolling with bracket (8). In the case of battery-powered models, the battery packs (9) can be quick-changed to a quick-charger (10) allowing offline charging of a battery pack while the device is in operation, avoiding the requirement for the machine to carry lager batteries or be inoperable while said batteries aye being recharged.

    • Die umfangreichen manuellen Tätigkeiten bei herkömmlichen Rangieranlagen verursachen hohe Personalkosten und führen zu erheblichen zeitlichen Verzögerungen des Transportablaufs. Die neue Rangierautomatik für Güterwagen ermöglicht eine volle Automatisierung des Rangierbetriebes auf allen Rangieranlagen und Güterbahnhöfen und vermeidet schädliche Rangierstöße.
      Die in die Güterwagen integrierte Rangierautomatik besteht im wesentlichen aus einem Mikrocomputer (2) zur Steuerung der Automatik und Regelung der Ablaufgeschwindigkeit, Drehimpulsgebern (8) zur Ermittlung des Ablaufweges und der Wagengeschwindigkeit, Abstandssensoren (5) zur Erfassung des Abstandes zu vorausbefindlichen Wagen, automatischen Kupplungen (6), einem Bremsantrieb (10, 11, 12) zur gleichmäßigen Abbremsung der Wagen in der Ablaufzone und zielgenauen Abbremsung in den Richtungsgleisen und einer Datenfunkeinrichtung (4) für den Informationsaustausch mit einem übergeordneten Leitstand.
      Die in die Güterwagen integrierte Rangierautomatik ermöglicht eine ferngesteuerte Abkopplung der Wagen, eine gleichmäßige Ablaufgeschwindigkeit, die Einhaltung eines Mindestabstandes zwischen den Abteilungen zur sicheren Umstellung der Weichen, eine automatische Abbremsung und Wiederankopplung in den Richtungsgleisen sowie eine fernüberwachte Wagendiagnose und Bremsprobe.

    • A coupling mechanism for use on a railcar moving vehicle designed to couple with European-type railway cars having an end sill at each end of the car which supports a centrally disposed draft hook and a pair of buffers mounted one at each end of the end sill, the coupling mechanism including a casting which moves laterally on a plurality of rollers, a crossbar or lifting beam carried on the end of the casting and pivotal relative thereto about a vertical axis, a pair of lifting forks carried on the respective ends of the crossbar, and a pair of buffer plates carried at opposite ends of the crossbar and positioned to push against corresponding buffers on a railway car. The coupling mechanism also includes sensing means which controls lateral movement of the casting during a pushing or pulling operation in accordance with relative lateral movement of the railcar end sill and buffers.

    • A rail car mover for road-rail operation is enabled for shunting rail cars that are guided on two parallel rails. The rail car mover has a bogie and wheels which are mounted thereon and have rubber tires.
