    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inner peripheral blade dressing method capable of effectively correcting displacement of the inner peripheral blade and improving the life of the inner peripheral blade by locally and effectively dressing a blade tip of an inner peripheral blade in a short time.
      SOLUTION: This inner peripheral blade dressing method includes a step for forming a reference groove on a dressing material in advance, a step for selecting either side of a blade tip to be dressed, a step for relatively moving an inner peripheral blade and the dressing material so that a position of a corner of an opening of the reference groove is identical to a leading position of the blade tip by placing the opening of the reference groove opposite to a side selected for dressing, and a step for cutting the dressing material and locally dressing only a portion on a side selected by the blade tip without making a portion of the blade tip opposite to the side selected for dressing into contact with the dressing material by simultaneously and relatively feeding the blade tip toward a depth direction of the dressing material and toward the side of the blade tip selected for dressing.

    • A method and an apparatus used for crowning a band saw pulley wheel (3,4) is presented. Said method comprises mounting a base fixture (10,11,12) to the frame of the band saw (2), mounting a CNC x-y table (13,14,15) to said base fixture, mounting a tool piece (17) to said CNC x-y table, aligning said CNC x-y table and said tool piece with the pulley wheel to be crowned (3), programming the CNC x-y table such that once the crowning operation is started said tool piece is brought into contact with the surface of the pulley wheel and then follows a specific path such that the pulley wheel is crowned with a specific profile, driving the pulley wheel via a drive motor (32), and starting the crowning operation. In this way, a very accurate crown can be applied to the pulley wheels without needing to remove the pulley wheels from the bandsaw.
