摘要： A fully integrated automated laser weld process control system (LWPCS) and method of controlling the fabrication of structural parts, particularly for shipbuilding and other industries. The LWPCS defines joint and weld quality attributes as process control variables and integrates these weld quality variables, along with the more traditional process parameters such as laser power, wire feed, GMAW voltage and active seam tracking, into a closed-loop monitoring and control system. The LWPCS includes a central processor and a plurality of subsystems that control laser beam positioning, vision-based monitoring and image processing, active weld-quality monitoring and inspection, adaptive beam delivery, and seam tracking. Cross-communication between subsystems is managed by the central processor. In addition to process control, the system extracts weld quality attributes during the weld process and provides immediate documentation of the weld quality.

摘要： A power controller converts a line voltage to an RMS load voltage for a lamp, and includes a switch and a microcontroller that operates the switch to define the RMS load voltage. The microcontroller senses a load voltage of the lamp, compares the sensed load voltage to a reference RMS voltage, and operates the switch in response to the comparison so that the RMS load voltage is substantially constant at the reference RMS voltage over an operating range of the line voltage and so that the RMS load voltage decreases with decreasing line voltage at line voltages less than the operating range. The operating range of the line voltage is defined to have a minimum that is a non-zero line voltage at which a load current is a predetermined maximum. The voltage conversion circuit may be a phase clipping circuit or a pulse width modulation circuit.

摘要： Implantable devices comprise at least one or more targeting molecules that form a primary coating layer for selectively recruiting, isolating, activating, and/or eliminating any cells of interest, such as T cells, monocytes, and stem cells. The implantable devices can be utilized for selectively removing a particular subset of cells from bodily fluids of a patient. Various non-selective pharmaceutical agents and biological agents can be incorporated into the implantable devices so that cells of interest can be isolated for elimination or for activation/differentiation. Cell-type selectivity is conferred by the presence of cell-type-specific targeting molecules incorporated into the implantable device, preferably at the surface level to permit direct or indirect interaction between the cells of interest and targeting molecules of the implantable device. Related therapeutic methods for utilizing the implantable devices are also provided. These implantable devices can be manufactured as a stent, a catheter, a holding chamber, or any other device, and can be manufactured into any shape, including a conduit, a vessel, and a tubing.
