摘要： An ethylene polymer is produced with an excellent yield by bringing a feed containing ethylene into contact with a catalyst which comprises (A) a solid catalytic ingredient prepared (a) by reacting a Grignard compound with a reaction product of an aluminum halide with an organic silicon compound of the formula, R1nSi(OR2)4-n wherein R1 = C1-8 alkyl or phenyl, R2 = C1-8 alkyl and n= 1, 2 or 3 and (b) by bringing the resultant solid reaction product into contact with titanium tetrahalide and (B) another catalytic ingredient consisting of at least one trialkyl aluminum.

摘要： Poly- alpha -olefin, for example, polypropylene, is produced by subjecting a feed containing an alpha -olefin having 3 or more carbon atoms, to a preliminary polymerization at 40 DEG C. or less in the presence of a catalyst which comprises (A) a solid catalytic ingredient prepared (a) by reacting a Grignard compound of the formula, R3MgX wherein R3=C1-8 alkyl and X=halogen, with a reaction product of an aluminium halide with an organic silicon compound of the formula, Rn1Si(OR2)4-n, wherein R1=C1-8 alkyl or phenyl, R2=C1-8 alkyl, n=0, or 1 to 3, (b) bringing the resultant solid carrier into a first contact with titanium tetrahalide, (c) treating the resultant titanium-containing solid product with an organic acid ester, and, finally, (d) bringing the treated solid product into a second contact with titanium tetrahalide; (B) another catalytic ingredient consisting of a trialkyl aluminium of the formula, AlR34 wherein R4=C2-6 alkyl; and a further catalytic ingredient consisting of an organic acid ester, and then, by subjecting a polymerization mixture containing the above-mentioned catalyst, the preliminary polymer and free alpha -olefin to a final polymerization at a temperature above 40 DEG C.

Crystalline polyolefins are prepared by polymerizing C 3-6 olefins in the presence of a catalyst consisting of (a) a titanium trihalide, (b) an organoaluminium compound such as triethylaluminium or diethyl aluminium halide and (c) a triphosphite of formula (R 1 3) 3 P wherein R 1 is a hydrocarbon group of 1-20 carbon atoms, or a trithiophosphate of formula (R 13 ) 3 PO. The mole ratio of (a) to (b) is from 1: 0À1 to 1: 10 and the mole ratio of (b) to (c) is from 1: 0À005 to 1: 5. In the examples, propylene or butene are polymerized either continuously in an organic solvent or in bulk using a catalyst consisting of (a) 3TiCl 3 .AlCl 3 , (b) Et 2 AlCl or Et 3 Al and (c) trilauryltrithiophosphite or phosphate, triethyltrithiophosphite or phosphate, triphenyltrithiophosphite or phosphate, tributyltrithiophosphite or tribenzyltrithiophosphite or phosphate. The catalyst is decomposed with methanol/hydrochloric acid, and the polymer washed and dried. The polymer is insoluble in boiling heptane.
