    • A radiation image read-out apparatus comprises a sheet receiving section for receiving a stimulable phosphor sheet carrying a radiation image stored thereon, a sheet storing section for storing a plurality of stimulable phosphor sheets, and an image read-out section provided with a stimulating ray source for emitting stimulating rays for scanning the stimulable phosphor sheet carrying the radiation image stored thereon, and a photodetector for detecting light emitted by the stimulable phosphor sheet scanned with stimulating rays to obtain an electric image signal. The apparatus also comprises an erasing section for having the stimulable phosphor sheet release radiation energy remaining thereon after image read-out is conducted, and a sheet conveyance system provided with a sheet holding mechanism for holding the stimulable phosphor sheet transferably with respect to the sheet receiving section, the sheet storing section, the image read-out section, and the erasing section. The sheet conveyance system moves the sheet holding mechanism in a arbitrary order among the sections.

    • In a light beam scanning type recording system in which a part of a read-out light beam scans a form slide and another part of the read-out light beam scans a linear encoder to generate photoelectric pulses, a data signal is read out by use of a video clock signal, and a recording light beam is modulated by a video signal obtained by combination of the data signal and the form signal, a device for correcting displacement of the form slide from a predetermined position with respect to the data information is provided. An optical mark is provided on the form slide in the marginal area thereof and a mark signal is generated when the read-out light beam passes through the optical mark. The number of clock pulses from a pulse generator is counted after the mark signal is generated and before the first photoelectric pulse is outputed to detect the amount of displacement of the form slide. Then, the video clock signal or the form signal is delayed according to the detected amount of displacement.

    • In an image recording or displaying system using a light beam scanning means, format lines are generated in combination with character data to be recorded or displayed together therewith. A format line data memory memorizes the format line data and the output format line data read out therefrom are combined with the character data. The format line data memory is provided with a horizontal pattern memory and a vertical pattern memory. The horizontal pattern memory memorizes various horizontal patterns in the direction parallel to the scanning line of the light beam scanning means. The vertical pattern memory memorizes the kind of the horizontal pattern according to the position of the scanning line. The vertical pattern memory generates the horizontal pattern code according to the scanning line signal and the horizontal pattern memory generates the selected horizontal pattern for every scanning line.
