摘要： An audio jack connector (100) includes an insulative housing (1), a plurality of contacts (2) and a cover (3). the insulative housing has a bottom surface (12), a cavity (14) having a front end exposed to exterior for insertion of an electrical plug, and a plurality of receiving slots (15) recessed upwardly from the bottom surface and communicating with the cavity. The contacts are inserted into the receiving slots from the bottom surface of the insulative housing. the contacts have contacting portions (28, 29) protruding into the cavity for contacting with the electrical plug and soldering tail portions (27) extending outwardly beyond the bottom surface. The cover (3) envelopes the contacts into the receiving slots (15) with the tail portions (27) extending outwardly therefrom to make the audio jack connector communicate with the exterior via only the front end of the cavity.

摘要： An electrical connector includes a housing member and a number of contacts attached to the housing member. The contacts include a number of first contacts and second contacts arranged side by side along a transverse direction, respectively. The second contacts include a first pair of differential contacts, a second pair of differential contacts and a grounding contact disposed therebetween. At the mounting end of the electrical connector, a space between the grounding contact and the differential contact of each pair most adjacent to the grounding contact is much bigger than any internal space between the differential contacts of each the first or the second pair. As a result, a rear wall of the housing member can provide adequate area for easily mounting a fiber optical lens.

摘要： An electrical connector for mating with a plug and mounting to a printed circuit board, includes an insulative housing defining a rear base and a front mating tongue, two rows of terminals received in the insulating housing and a shielding plate interposed between said two rows of the terminals. The terminals include contacting portions exposed upon opposite surfaces of the front mating tongue and board-connecting legs extending out of the rear base for mounting to the printed circuit board. The terminals are categorized with differential pairs of signal and grounding terminals mixed up with one another for coupling to the plug. The shielding plate includes at least one grounding finger split therefrom and a grounding leg for mounting to the printed circuit board. Each grounding finger is disposed between two adjacent differential pairs and parallel to the contacting portions of said terminals.
