    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure a flow rate with high accuracy by always certainly pivotally supporting a blade wheel in thrust and radial directions to stabilize the rotation thereof, by constituting a flowmeter from the blade wheel having a baring part provided to the center thereof and a pair of support shafts provided so as to be protruded toward the bearing part from the upstream or downstream side of said wheel. CONSTITUTION:A fluid to be measured flows in a pipe 17 from a flange 15 and flows out from a flange 16 to revolve a blade wheel 12. The magnet 21 embedded in the blade wheel 12 and the detector 22 provided to an upstream side cone member 10 cooperate to detect the rotation of the blade wheel 12 and the detected value is processed by an operation apparatus to measure a flow rate. Because thrust force due to the fluid to be measured is small at the time of a low flow rate, the blade wheel 12 rotated under its own wt. in such a state that the pivot bearing 20 provided to the bearing hole 12c thereof is contacted with the leading end of a support shaft 13. As the flow rate is increased, the upward thrust force acting on the blade wheel 12 increases to gradually move said blade wheel 12 to an upward X1-direction and the leading end of the support shaft 13 is allowed to be spaced apart from the pivot bearing 20 so as to provide a slight dimension therebetween and a support shaft 14 pivotally supports the blade wheel 12 to a thrust direction.

    • PURPOSE:To display the abnormality and others of a flowmeter, by transmitting a unit integrated flow rate pulse and various informations of the flowmeter itself containing an integrated flow rate value at a predetermined time cycle through the same line. CONSTITUTION:The pulses outputted from a display device 13 for a definite period at a predetermined cycle are supplied to an inverter 18 through an NPN transistor TrO1 and a line 17 and applied to a gas meter 10 while the polarity thereof is reversed. Whereupon, the meter 10 generates and outputs a unit integrated flow rate pulse to turn TrO2 ON and sends out the same to the display device 13. When the display device 13 outputs a high level signal continuously for a definite period during the next period, the meter 10 changes over the transmission mode of the unit integrated flow rate pulse to the transmission mode of various informations of the meter 10 itself and the display device 13 also changes over a receiving mode to display the read informations such as the gas leakage, excessive flow rate and power source abnormality of the meter 10 and the flow rate data integrated by the meter 10.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the measuring life of a flowmeter, by fixedly providing balls to both ends of the rotary shaft of a blade wheel rotating corresponding to the flow rate of a fluid to be measured and covering the surface of each ball with a hard material. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 1 made of a synthetic resin is constituted by inserting a rotary shaft 3 through the center of a blade wheel 2 rotating corresponding to the flow rate of a fluid to be measured. Balls 4a, 4b are incorporated in both ends of the shaft part 3a comprising a metal pipe comprising stainless steel or brass of the rotary shaft 3 and the surface of the rotary shaft is covered with a hard material 5 inclusive of the surfaces of the balls 4a, 4b. This hard material 5 comprises Si3N4 for example and is formed into a membrane with a thickness of 4-8mum by a low temp. plasma method. In a turbine type flowmeter 6 using the rotor 1 thus formed, because the abrasion resistance between bearing parts 10a, 10b is low using the bearing parts 10a, 10b having excellent abrasion resistance, the flow rate measuring accuracy in a minute flow rate area is enhanced and, because abrasion resistance is imparted and high accuracy is kept long, the measuring life of the flowmeter can be extended.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to stably measure a minute flow rate, by a method wherein recessed parts are formed to both end parts of the rotary shaft of a blade wheel and balls in contact with the bearing part provided in opposed relation to the blade wheel are inserted in the recessed parts and subsequently pressed to the axial direction to fix the rotary shaft. CONSTITUTION:A metal round rod 7 made of brass or stainless steel is cut into a predetermined length and recessed parts 3, 4 having a predetermined depth are formed to both end surfaces 7a, 7b of the round shaft 7 in the axial direction by cutting processing. The peripheral edge parts 3a, 4a of the recessed parts 3, 4 are made thin by applying chamfering processing to the outer peripheries of both end parts and balls 5, 6 each formed of a hard alloy or ceramics so as to have an outer shape dimension slightly smaller than the inner diameter dimension of each of the recessed parts 3, 4 are inserted in the recessed parts 3, 4 so as to partially protrude to be pressed to the axial direction and the peripheral edge parts 3a, 4a are deformed to the inner peripheral direction to fix the round rod 7 to form a rotary shaft 2. This shaft is inserted through the central hole 1b of the hub 1a of a blade wheel 1 to be fixed to said wheel 1. This blade wheel 1 is pivotally supported by the bearings 17a, 17b of the cones 16, 16b, which are fixed to the shafts 15a, 15b in a flow passage 14, through the shaft 2.
