摘要： A surface-acoustic-wave device includes a piezoelectric substrate and first and second comb-shaped electrodes each having a bus-bar portion parallel to a propagation direction of a surface acoustic wave in the substrate. Respective electrode fingers are periodically formed on the piezoelectric substrate and extend in directions perpendicular to the propagation direction, wherein the electrode fingers of the first comb-shaped electrode and the electrode fingers of the second comb-shaped electrode are separated away from the bus-bar portion of the opposing comb-shaped electrode. The respective electrode fingers being periodically arrayed in the propagation direction of the surface-acoustic-wave, and the electrode fingers of each comb-shaped electrode are inclined at root portions thereof outwardly right and left from the bus-bar portion of the corresponding comb-shaped electrode so that the inclined portions of the electrode fingers face a direction of a leaking surface-acoustic-wave perpendicularly.

摘要： A community, which is a group of users having common interests, has attributes such as the name of the community, the interests shared, the number of members, average age of the members, gender ratio of the members, and so forth. Corporations provide services to the users of a community to which the corporations have permission to access. The corporations can know a portion of the attribute information of the community, but cannot know the personal information of the individual users. Distribution firms can obtain personal information of users belonging to a community and deliver merchandise thereto, by entering into contract with that community. The distribution firms receive merchandise shipping commissions using serial numbers, so there is no exchange of personal information between the corporations and the distribution firms. Accordingly, services can be provided from corporations to users without disclosing personal information of the users to the corporations.

The information processing apparatus includes a sensing-area setting means for setting an area used to sense information on objects, and a transmission-area setting means for setting an area used for transmitting information on an object. The transmission area may be set wider than the sensing area. Thus, according to the present invention, information on an object can be reported to another object located at a remote position with a higher degree of reliability.

The information processing apparatus includes a sensing-area setting means for setting an area used to sense information on objects, and a transmission-area setting means for setting an area used for transmitting information on an object. The transmission area may be set wider than the sensing area. Thus, according to the present invention, information on an object can be reported to another object located at a remote position with a higher degree of reliability.

摘要： An aura is prescribed to surround an avatar which is only allowed to sense other avatars in the aura. A maximum number of other avatars in the aura which the avatar is allowed to sense is predetermined. When a new avatar enters the aura such that the number of other avatars in the aura exceeds the predetermined maximum number, the avatar is not allowed to sense the new avatar. However, if the avatar also enters another aura set for the new avatar and the new avatar is allowed to sense the avatar, the avatar is also allowed to sense the new avatar even if the number of other avatars in the aura of the avatar already exceeds the predetermined maximum number. In this manner, it is possible to avoid a mismatching state in which an avatar is not allowed to sense another avatar in spite of the fact that the other avatar is allowed to sense the avatar. Accordingly, by restricting the number of objects in a virtual reality space that an avatar is allowed to sense in accordance with the present invention as described above, the amount of transmitted information can be prevented from rising even if the number of objects in the virtual reality space increases.
